Adoption[edit]

Hi Ccc999ccc999 (can I call you Ccc999? :) ) Welcome to Wikipedia! I am happy to adopt you, and whether you want to learn about wiki markup, find something to do, or just talk to somebody, I'm the person to see about it - just leave a message on my talk page. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. Here's some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome and congratulations! Neil (not Proto ►) 22:53, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I have changed the box on your user page. You will find that HTML does work on Wikipedia, but often isn't needed. If you have a look over the tutorial, you'll see that simple "wiki mark up" works. Things such as adding square brackets around words:
Like this:
[[User:Ccc999ccc999]] or [[Computer]]
Will produce this:
User:Ccc999ccc999 or Computer
Basically, putting something in double square brackets links to that page name on Wikipedia, if it exists. The page name is what you see at the top of the page - this page's name is User talk:Ccc999ccc999. Easy, huh? Neil (not Proto ►) 23:03, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Logo_GSU.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo_GSU.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Notability of Taylor Cheng[edit]

A tag has been placed on Taylor Cheng, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thatguy69 20:21, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Argh[edit]

Is this what happens when I adopt people before I go on a wikibreak!! Hi Seajay. I am still on a wikibreak, but if you do have any questions, leave them on my talk page and I will get back to you eventually - if you've got any problems with an area in particular (e.g., for example, maybe, images ... just saying :p ) then ask me anything you want about that issue. Be aware that if someone asks you not to do something, there's almost always a good reason - at least stop and make sure you know what you're doing before ccarrying on (I have done this sort of thing before, ignoring someone who did actually have a poitn because I disagreed ... it's not worth it).
