Stopper Knot Images[edit]
Hi,
I would just like to ask for a consideration regarding these images File:StopperKnot.GIF, and File:StopperKnot1.GIF. I have used them in this article, Stopper_knots. If you would be so kind enough to let it stay here at wikipedia for illustration purposes. I have formally asked a permission from the owner of these images and in which I was also given permission to edit it.

- Hello. Thanks for contributing to the 'pedia and getting permission to use the images. Unfortunately Wikipedia cannot accept images that are for Wikipedia use only, or are for non-commercial use only. (This seems counter-intuitive, but that's the way it is.) Hi there. Congrats for launching the WP:Fishing. I thought I would never see this proposal ever realized. Anyway, I think WP:FISH can be considered as another parent project of this one as it is a parent project of WP:AQF which covers the fishkeeping hobby. Seems like a similar scope. - You can redirect a page to another by using the redirect command. It's another icon near your signature icon when you edit a page. To give you some example, the page WP:FISHING now redirects to "Wikipedia:Do you ever go fishing?". --Melanochromis 08:03, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the Welcome to the Fishing Portal[edit]
Bu b0y2007 -- I note you are from Baguio City. I spent 1980-83 at Clark AB in Angeles City. Have spent many days in Baguio-A great mountain city. My fishing experiences in the PI were mostly saltwater. We'd take Banca boats off the beaches and fish for anything that would bite. I remember catching lots of Snapper. My favorite places were the Capones Islands off San Miquel, Hundred Islands and off the beaches of Bauang, La Union. I really enjoyed my time the Philippines.

Maintaining a separate "References" section in addition to "Notes" It can be helpful when footnotes are used that a separate "References" section also be maintained, in which the sources that were used are listed in alphabetical order. With articles that have lots of footnotes, it can become hard to see after a while exactly which sources have been used, particularly when the footnotes also contain explanatory text. A References section, which lists citations in alphabetical order, helps readers to see at a glance the quality of the references used.

Hello Bu b0y2007, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:SLU.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Bu b0y2007. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. WikiProject Golf[edit]

I thought that a way to further improve the golf articles on Wikipedia is for the whole project to work together towards a goal. An example of this could be a certain number of good articles in so many months, or to create the project's first ever featured article. If you are interested, come to the talk page and discuss it. Annotated Bibliography of Fly Fishing Nominated For Deletion[edit]
I'd like to bring to your attention that the article Annotated Bibliography of Fly Fishing has been nominated for deletion. I believe this article is useful and should stay a part of Wikipedia. There are literally dozens of bibliographies in Wikipedia and I see no reason this particular one should be deleted. As a member of the fishing project I would hope you do as well. Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175[edit]

Greetings!
As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.
Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.
