OSI article[edit]

Hello @Bryantbob:. I noticed the excellent work you did bringing NPOV and a more complete look at source materials to Allan Ryan (attorney) in 2016 and in recent updates. Are you able to do that for Office of Special Investigations (United States Department of Justice)? Thank you, Isaidnoway. I think I have cleaned everything up. Most of the problems originated from dividing the sandbox version into separate, shorter articles. There were also some problems with citation formatting, but I think they have all been corrected as well. I appreciate the friendly reminder.

Missing cite in Aircraft carrier operations during World War II[edit]

The article cites "Overy 1995" but no such source is listed in bibliography. Can you please add? Also, suggest installing a script to highlight such errors in the future. I did not see any notices following this action, so I assume there are no more such errors. Reverting cite of Symonds in top section of Aircraft carrier operations during World War II[edit]

Hi, I have twice reverted your changing of the citation of Symonds 2018 from {{sfn|Symonds|2018|p. xi-xii}} to the longer <ref>{{cite book|...}}</ref>.

The expanded citation already exists in the article's Principal sources section. Changing the {{sfn}} citation to a <ref>{{cite book}}</ref> style breaks the links of all other {{sfn|Symonds|2018}} references.

(As a side note, I apologize for a typo when I created the {{sfn|Symonds|2018|p. xi-xii}} reference. The past parameter should have read p=xi-xii. I have fixed that in my latest revision, [1]) sbb (talk) 18:51, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Followup: I dove into all the "subpages" of the Aircraft carrier operations during World War II article. I can see you were the originator of the pages, and have done 99.44% of the work on them. So I certainly have to submit to the preferred style of the articles. It appears to me the intention is to use shortened footnotes (sfn).
