There are at least two paintings with the title The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone (Moran)

Hello! Thanks for improving the entry I started about Thomas Moran painting The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. However I think you seem to have confused, like I did a while ago, before realising that there are two different paintings, that actually Moran did two paintings with the same title, the first is from 1872, and the one I just created an entry is later, from 1893-1901. As you can see by the illustration and date they are two different paintings! This is the one from 1872: [1] Maybe I will start an entry about it later because I am increasing the number of paintings by Thomas Moran, presented in the template, from two to five. I already corrected the entry to reflect that there are two paintings with the same name, not to be confused. Regards!Mistico Dois (talk) 00:08, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

@Mistico Dois: The images are so similar - thanks for the message! I believe the 1872 image is more culturally significant and started a draft. Will have to move some infoBruxton (talk) 00:29, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
@Mistico Dois: Please help edit the article when you have time and I will include you when I nominate it for DYK The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone (1872) Bruxton (talk) 00:53, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Krmar

Hi Bruxton, what was the problem? I am new to NPP and this was one of my first pages I reviewed and you then marked it as unreviewed. Do we not mark Disambiguation pages as reviewed? I checked the NPP tutorial, but disambiguation didn't appear as I searched for it. I'd be glad if you could help me to understand why, so I can try to avoid the same in the future. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:19, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

I was clicking reviewed. Apologies! You were correct - please continue. Bruxton (talk) 02:20, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for the timely reply. No apologies needed. For me too, getting to know the reviewers tool bar is a learning process.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:36, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
@Paradise Chronicle: You were correct. I will tell you what I did during NPP. I came to Ohana (surname) and a quick search found Ohana (disambiguation) so I created surname in the page and redirected. Then my normal procedure is to go the article starter's other article creations. That is where I found Krmar and other d pages. I check if they are reviewed and I must have clicked the button thinking I was reviewing it. So thanks for reaching out! You and I will help get this backlog down! DYK for Launch and commissioning of the James Webb Space Telescope

On 2 September 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Launch and commissioning of the James Webb Space Telescope, which you recently nominated. The fact was ... that getting the James Webb Space Telescope into orbit (launch pictured) consumed far less fuel than was planned, effectively doubling its expected operational life? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Launch and commissioning of the James Webb Space Telescope. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Launch and commissioning of the James Webb Space Telescope), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hook update
Your hook reached 7.951 views (662.58 per hour), making it one of the most viewed hooks of September 2022 – nice work!

Thanks for waiting

I lost my update because of an edit conflict. In use tag specifically says to avoid edits until the tag is removed. Putting categories in the article so quickly wasn’t necessary. BostonMensa (talk) 17:33, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

The edits during a conflict appear at the bottom. Apologies. I see you tagged it for speedy. I will remove the tag, it is a notable person. Bruxton (talk) 17:35, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you reviewed

Hello, Bruxton. Thank you for creating Legacy of Roberto Clemente. User:Dr vulpes, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Hey just wanted to let you know that I unreviewed Legacy of Roberto Clemente because it doesn't have any categories and is still under active development. I also almost missed the lack of categories, with large articles like this I sometimes get swept up in the article and forget about the little things.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Dr vulpes}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

I have unreviewed a page you curated

@Dr vulpes: I have reviewed the article. What is the reason for un-reviewing? Bruxton (talk) 23:25, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
You didn't do anything wrong this article is just really tricky. It's still being created by the editor because they are moving it off of main article. So just give it a couple hours so they can finish everything up with it. It's a really big article so they're focused on the meat of it but haven't had time to go back and add categories and all that. Honestly I would have also marked it as reviewed, I only caught myself because I thought it should have been merged with the Roberto Clemente article and after digging around it sort of clicked and I was like "oooooo, It's not finished". Also there's a solid chance that I am completely 100% in the wrong here this is more of a "I think this is what we should be doing" not a "the rules are very clear on what to do" sort of thing. If you disagree go ahead and mark it reviewed, I'm still learning and could be way off base :-) Dr vulpes (💬📝) 23:33, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
@Dr vulpes: Thanks for the message. I have seen you around and I trust you are right. I too first thought merge. Thanks for being a good egg. Bruxton (talk) 23:36, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
For sure, sorry if that message caused you any stress. I should have included more text as to my reasoning and my own limitations. I think when using the reviewing tools that little box makes a small message feel longer than it really is. As always if you ever need a hand with anything here feel free to hit me up on my talk page. Best part of wikipedia is working with people on interesting projects. Dr vulpes (💬📝) 23:41, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
@Dr vulpes: I agree and thanks - it is good to have someone to reach out to. I love the teamwork aspect of the project. When it happens it is magical. I experience that kind of cooperative effort in DYK often. Bruxton (talk) 23:44, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

A cupcake for you!

Notice of Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents discussion

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Complaint about New Page reviewer draftifying work while I'm still working on it.. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 19:05, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Bruxton, I have the impression from looking above here on your talk page that you are a relatively new New Page Patroller. Were you aware that you are supposed to not review very new articles, as you did when you draftified Our Lady Immaculate and St Etheldreda's Church, Newmarket, because of the high likelihood that the creator is still working on them? I was disappointed that you did not post to the AN/I section linked above by DanCherek. Did you look at it and see people referring to that guideline? I see that DaneGeld has retired, so I'm about to post there, and I wanted first to give you a heads-up and draw your attention to the issue. Yngvadottir (talk) 10:32, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
