Hi Pat, Fancy a meeting a couple of time in this upcoming week before the presentation? Let me know. JackMayhew (talk) 09:34, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am free pretty much whenever (apart from working this weekend), so whenever is convient for you. Bossplw (talk) 10:23, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pat, thanks for your recommendations on reliable resources for researching Leo Burnett's business. I have found an awesome site that has the complete history of his company and has many further reading references that i can look into, where are you at with your section mate? Regards --JackMayhew (talk) 13:45, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have put my section up on the page, I am hoping to have more interaction with other contributors. I have ordered a book called 'The Leo Burnett Book of Advertising' hoping to extend my references and improving the article further. I'll let you know if there is anything else it in it worth adding. How are you getting on? Bossplw (talk) 17:06, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Leo Burnett[edit]

Hey Pat, Do you have any idea to what exact pages our group should edit? I was looking at Leo Burnett and noticed that more could be contributed to Leo Burnett Worldwide. Other pages we could look at include some of the creations by Leo himself. Whats your take on this? Jack Greenaway (talk) 09:39, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There are several aspects that we could actually look at, such as: His company, his ad campaigns and his personal life. All these could do with improvement Bossplw (talk) 09:42, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, rad. Today we should have a good session finding sources to help us improve the areas we're interested in. Jack Greenaway (talk) 09:47, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a go at editing the introduction. Check out my sandbox. I think also it would be a good idea to create a "Works" section, where his work that was previously mentioned in the intro could go, what do you think, is it necessary? If not, they could remain in the intro, but just with reference. (like the one you found) Jack Greenaway (talk) 18:17, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I am going to start working on my section of the article. I am also investigating if I can get permissions to use more imagery for the article. I have also found something for Mayhew's article. Bossplw (talk) 19:15, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox[edit]

Hey Pat, just having a nosey in your sandbox and noticed you have said you found a reference in '2011'. This is correct? Other than that the referencing looks good. I've gone ahead the added a link, and a reference ("His first job was as a reporter..."). Check it out in my Sandbox User:JGreenaway27/sandbox. Cheers Jack Greenaway (talk) 17:44, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was just playing around with referencing, It is not entirely correct as I wasn't able to finish editing it Bossplw (talk) 23:05, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Patrick, You said earlier that we are going to study Leo Burnett and i think that its a good idea that you come up with earlier that we each study a section on our chosen topic and then all switch areas so we can create engagement via editing each others pages. Thanks -- JackMayhew (talk) 11:20, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jack, It would be a good idea to improve each others articles. I have some books and websites which would be a great place to start our research. Bossplw (talk) 11:26, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pat, I think if you use the talkback feature Toni was talking about it will reply to my page directly. -- JackMayhew (talk) 11:44, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok Jack, I am just testing out talkback. Bossplw (talk) 11:52, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Leo Burnett Update[edit]

Hey Pat, I noticed you removed the 'Death' bit up to the Introduction - I'm not sure this really fits. Maybe we should add a 'Death' section? And also to add a bit of flow, could we move your section below Jacks, as the 'biography' ends ".... Leo Burnett Company". What are you thoughts? Jack Greenaway (talk) 22:04, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

PS. love the image, HO HO HO. Jack Greenaway (talk) 22:10, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What you said has better flow to the article so do what you think fits best. I moved the section up because it was a bit empty, a whole heading only had one sentence to it, so I though you could integrate it better into your biography section. I added an image to support the article, glad you liked it. Bossplw (talk) 22:13, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Saul Mandel[edit]

Just wondering if you'd be interested in creating an article on this illustrator (who was also involved in the Jolly Green Giant). See [1], [2], [3], [4]. We've had an OTRS request for one. Dougweller (talk) 10:31, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the offer, I am currently quite busy working on the Leo Burnett article for a couple more weeks for a university assignment. After this, I will try my best to work on this new article. I have had a look at some books and journals, it seems that there is not too much on him. Although, thank you for the sources, it will give me a place to start. Bossplw (talk) 12:25, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As reviewing administrator, I found it necessary to delete the article. The other article you mentioned was not promotional, whereas this one was mainly an extensive list & description of the various beers produced DGG ( talk ) 07:47, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Makes sense, if that section is taken off then the article could stay? Bossplw (talk) 07:59, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It really needs another reference, preferably from another newspaper. DGG ( talk ) 06:27, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
