Being a Brownsville native, I've seen firsthand that coconut trees do indeed have the capacity to flourish and grow to maturity despite occasional cold snaps. Fruit has been produce by specimens in the Rio Grande Valley and they've indeed also proven to be viable. If you would like to see picture evidence of nature coconut trees in this area, I will be more than glad to provide them for you. Thank you. Im welcome to listen to any questions or opinions.

The two main issues are 1) that this is relatively minor information, probably of local interest only (so is WP:UNDUE), and 2) there is no WP:SECONDARY source for the statement you wish to make. I will revert it again, and ask that you not engage in WP:WAR. --Zefr (talk) 03:42, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
