1 (me) = Edit only Myanmar-TV-related articles. I wasn't on Wikipedia since March 2010.
2 = Edit TVP articles, he said his YouTube channel is ThaiBeyond. Looks like he is new to Wikipedia, but really I see that he started editing since late 2008.

Indian cities

Boing, Hindi transliterations are not at all standard for Indian cities. See Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru, Baroda, all very prominent Indian cities but none has a Hindi transliteration in their intro. Thanks. 70.112.74.183 (talk) 03:28, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Nattokinase

Hello- I am attempting to update the entry for nattokinase as the current entry is not entirely true or complete. According to the curent entry, Nattokinase is used as an aspirin substitute. I will tell you that it is not. Aspirin and Nattokinase act on two completely different mechanisms are could hardly be interchangeable. Nattokinase also, while not an OTC drug but a dietary supplement does in fact have research confirming cardiovascular and cerebrovascular benefit in humans contrary to the current entry. This is misleading the readers of Wikipedia. I represent Nattokinase's discoverer, Dr. Sumi and the chief U.S. nattokinase researcher. I am a health care professional myself very familiar with the enzyme nattokinase.

I would appreciate direction on submitting nattokinase information. The last update I provided had zero commercial value and is fully referenced to peer reviewed Journals, including the Lancet. If Wikipedia entries are to be written by experts for trust & value, then I see no reason why the nattokinase overview provided would be rejected for the current entry which is somewhat inaccurate and studies used inconclusive.

I have found five long time ago. 2 from the same website and one more from different website and 2 more from Thai Wikipedia. But only three reliable sources and NOT a blog. But the first 2 is unavailable now. Another one, I can't remember where.

And as I said to him, registering a username will not get you blocked for being a sockpuppet - it is perfectly acceptable to stop editing from IP addresses and start editing from a username. An account is blocked. That means its owner is not able to edit or move (rename) any pages via the account. Using script via the blocked account is also prohibit by default. However, we are technically not able to halt the remote program because it runs on its side unless getting permission or breaking through security. I am a programmer (maybe like him). Hey, when you come across a vandal, such as 82.25.221.4, who is obviously making a nuisance of themselves straight after a block, you can normally report them to AIV straight away rather than give them more freebies. Electrical vs Electronic Engineering in the Computer Engineering Field

In one of your edits on the Computer Engineering page, you insist on writing that CE is a mix of Electronic Engineering and CS, and that Electrical Engineering is a different thing. Well, it may be true to some extent in Europe, but it definitely isn't true in North America. In US and Canada, electronics is the main part of Electrical Engineering and the term Electronic Engineering simply doesn't exist.

As a side note, I am a graduate of electrical engineering from Sherbrooke University (in Quebec, Canada) and I can tell you that among the 120 credits I gathered for my degree, only 3 were done in the field of power (energy transmission, motors, etc). All the rest concerned the information aspect of electrical engineering (electronics, signal processing, telecommunication, microprocessors, etc).

Well, I wasn't so much "insisting" on anything (and I didn't actually write anything in the article myself), I just reverted a change that wasn't really explained properly (in either the edit summary or the Talk page). As Wikipedia is a worldwide thing and not USA/Canada-centric (and not UK/Europe-centric either, of course), then changing it from one to the other is equally inaccurate. I'd suggest that both terms are included, specifying the geographical differences, rather than just changing it to be American/Canadian. Best regards -- Boing! said Zebedee 08:41, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism on Gavin Menzies pages

And another thing, we are not vandals and we are NOT edit warring. Check the history and you see it is the other users who continually delete without just cause and post derogatory libelious statement on Gavin Menzies page, which technically is a Biography. And as such it must conform to Wikipedia's official policy on Biographies, that they must not be libelious against the person.

You should check out the vandalism and bigoted edit warring committed by ClovisPt and the vandalism and hostiles messages sent to me by John Smith's

It is considered an allegory which illustrates how a relationship between two friends causes them trouble in everyday life. The two men always carry a wardrobe, but when other people see them carrying it, they run away or try to get rid of the two men, as if they were afraid of the wardrobe. Or is it something else?

Secondly, there are no hard and fast rules as to the best place to hold such discussions, but consensus does seem to suggest that for article-related discussions the article's Talk page is generally preferred, as most people who might be interested won't know to look at other user pages - so I suggested it only for simplicity and ease of visibility. Hi. My idea of logical isn't really relevant here, because I have no more power to override consensus than anyone else. I also do think that there will be occasions where consensus gets it wrong - who knows, had I known of it at the time, I might have supported that past request to change the name myself. But I really don't see any alternative to consensus - if you or I could personally change something against consensus, then why not everyone else? And then what would there be to prevent non-stop edit wars everywhere? CSD for "pure shit"?

I'm serious here, for articles like the one you just commented on, can't we have a "pure shit" CSD category. I mean, if something fails WP:NOT on multiple accounts, can't we just get rid of the damn article right away? Maybe I should have used {{delete}} with WP:IAR as the reason, but come on, that article is nonsense. I really wish all the WT:CSD discussions had led to a valid CSD for these. Hi Sorry for the slow answer - I've been pretty busy with other stuff. I certainly echo your feelings, and I've come across quite a few articles and thought that WP:BOLLOCKS should be a CSD criterion. But the trouble is, it seems like a hard one to tie down objectively - "shit" and "bollocks" are surprisingly subjective, and I fear we could get a lot of poor nominations by people who effectively just strongly disagree with an article's contents. I've also seen a lot of AfD discussions very much split on WP:NOT judgments too, and while this particular one was an uncontroversial delete, I could see people using such a CSD for others that are more controversial. Still, if anyone thinks they can come up with a workable way of wording such a CSD, I'd be very interested to consider it. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:24, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

The only source of that term (apart from other people quoting it) was in this link (the one I quoted in the RfA), but that isn't the whole AfD and so it's not in its full context. I did see a quote of the AfD nomination itself somewhere, but I can't find it now - it's probably redacted. But for me, a momentary lapse of judgment was easily forgivable, and all I wanted was some acknowledgment that it was a BLP violation - and the answer to Q7 satisfied that, so I changed my !vote to Support. The reason I don't want to be an admin at the moment is really just because I can do everything I want without it. In fact, I think sometimes you can diffuse arguments better by not being an admin - people tend to see admins as figures of authority, and I find it can be quite effective in discussion to be able to say things like "No, I'm just an ordinary editor, just like you". Your implication that there is a connection is non-notable at best, and defamatory at worst. If you just stick to Wikipedia's policies, make sure you have reliable sources for anything you want to add (and remember that just watching TV and chatting with kids on websites is not a reliable source), and don't add anything that you cannot reliably source, you shouldn't have any problems. (Oh, and please don't leave lengthy "hidden" comments on my Talk page, especially like that whole pile of incomprehensible stuff I just deleted - just say what you have to say here in the open).
