meetup 37

might interest you? any thoughts about the strategy process viz what I have been posting around - I would be very interested in your thoughts JarrahTree 03:47, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi again. As a casual and eclectic editor, I'm normally inclined to leave organisational stuff to others. However, I'm now reading this here. I approve of the process, its goals and methods, and will try to chip in before 12 June. So thanks for the head-up. Meetups are out for me, and I'm expecting a funeral flight to the UK at zero notice any day. Bjenks (talk) 07:24, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Your reverting edit was obviously over-hasty and hence in error. I am restoring my edit and expect you to provide valid reasons for rejecting correct orthography and content cited from a reliable source. Your contention that serious and pointed international comment on Australia is "irrelevant" requires fuller justification on the talk page. (It appears only at the very end of a very long lead and is incontrovertibly verified.) Bjenks (talk) 15:57, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
Sorry about being snippy about this earlier. I've been dealing with some difficult editors recently, which led me to think that you were a difficult editor, which made me a bit of a difficult editor, which is a bit of an awful cycle. I'm happy to discuss the inclusion of the information in the article in some way if that's an issue you would like to raise again some time in the future. All the best, Cjhard (talk) 22:55, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
The sentiment is appreciated. Yes, Wikipedia suffers from excesses of ego and pomposity which it's best to stand back from for a while. Pell's story will look after itself when the time comes. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 02:55, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

difficult editor the enth...

Please note that our presence in BiblioTECh means we have things going on - https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiClubWest - not expecting you to be interested in all of it - there might be something that looks interesting - would be great to see you at some stage - cheers JarrahTree 09:17, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

RVs

Thank you, Bjenks, for your considerate and highly Wiki-professional msg On my Talk page. Please allow me a bit of time before I respond later today. I am sure that we can find a common ground in which to respect the sense of your edits and my mild objections to a small part of them. regards, Sensei48 (talk) 17:19, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the patience. I just rv'd my rv. There is really only one issue of punctuation I would like to address, and I can do that manually. regards, Sensei48 (talk) 23:35, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi. This month The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There is over £3000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. Wikimedia UK is putting up £250 specifically for editors who produce the most quality new women bios for British women, with special consideration given to missing notable biographies from the Oxford Dictionary of Biography and Welsh Dictionary of Biography. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate independently this is also fine, but please add any articles created to the bottom of the main contest page even if not competing. Your participation in the contest and contributing articles on British women from your area or wherever would we much appreciated. Thanks.
