A tag has been placed on Draft:Pune Central School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ghazala Mulla[edit]

Hi Bfriendforever. In order for an article to be created on Dr Mulla and for it not to be deleted, the article must clearly explain how Dr Mulla is notable, using Wikipedia's standards for notability - in particular, please read Wikipedia:Notability (people), and perhaps Wikipedia:Notability (academics).

Reproduced from that page, here are the criteria for notability for academics. Should an article meet any one of these, then the article is likely to be kept. The Ghazala Mulla article did not demonstrate any one of these:

  1. The person's research has had a significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources.
  2. The person has received a highly prestigious academic award or honour at a national or international level. A quick guide for this one is - does the award have a Wikipedia article? If so, it's probably prestigious. If not, it is probably not sufficiently prestigious.
  3. The person is or has been an elected member of a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society or association (e.g., a National Academy of Sciences or the Royal Society) or a fellow of a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor (e.g., Fellow of the IEEE) - again, does the society have an article?
  4. The person's academic work has made a significant impact in the area of higher education, affecting a substantial number of academic institutions.
  5. The person holds or has held a named chair appointment or distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education and research (or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon).
  6. The person has held a highest-level elected or appointed administrative post at a major academic institution or major academic society.
  7. The person has had a substantial impact outside academia in their academic capacity.
  8. The person is or has been the head or chief editor of a major, well-established academic journal in their subject area.
  9. The person is in a field of literature (e.g., writer or poet) or the fine arts (e.g., musician, composer, artist), and meets the standards for notability in that art, such as WP:CREATIVE or WP:MUSIC.

It must also be reliably referenced, with independent sources (see Wikipedia:Reliable sources for an explanation of this.

Although the last (now deleted) version of the article had 41 references, all were either from Dr Mulla's website, links to her published papers (rather than academic discussion about her work or the significance thereof), or some PR releases about participation in conferences. None of these references supplied any kind of evidence as to why Dr Mulla is sufficiently notable to warrant an article.

As the article has been repeatedly created multiple times now, to prevent creating even more work for other editors to delete this over and over again, the re-creation of this article is suspended. Please can I suggest if you wish to try again, and honestly believe you can create an article on Dr Mulla that meets the criteria for notability, then create the article at User:Bfriendforever/sandbox, or as a draft article, and then file a request at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Thanks, fish&karate 09:09, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Ghazala Mulla, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
