Durham Cathedral[edit]

Cathedral interiors

....and one that tells this story.

Hi, Benjamin! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank for your suggestion. I have left a response on the Cathedral page. I have been waiting eagerly for someone like you to come along. Now, what I need is some good photos of Durham Cathedral. Better than these Wikipedia Commons which are what is currently available. The external shots showing the cathedral above the river are fine. It's also possible to get a good one from the other side, from the public car park. But what I really want is some good clear, in focus interiors. Particularly looking straight down the nave. One horizontal and another vertical, so that they can be used in places that require different layouts. Plus any others .....

Both the adjacent interiors are included in Architecture of cathedrals, basilicas and abbey churches. Check out Architecture of the medieval cathedrals of England, where you will find Durham heading up the page. Also, If you can identify both the buildings in these adjacent pics without peeking, I will give you a star! Amandajm (talk) 06:03, 31 July 2010 (UTC) By way of explanation, I'm located 10,000 miles from Durham, so it's a bit hard for me to just tootle up there and take them myself....Amandajm (talk) 06:05, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, we've given up on the idea of articles for postcodes below the area level, so I've redirected DH8 to DH postcode area. Just in general it's better to add detail to existing, more general articles than to create new very bitty articles that noone reads. Separately, you may be interested in WP:WikiProject North East England and WP:WikiProject UK geography - you can always ask for help on the Talk pages of those two projects. Cheers.
