Ocean Beach panorama[edit]

Love your wide angle of Ocean Beach. Any chance I could add it to my website, www.CliffHouseProject.com ? Specifically I'd like to include it on my page on Ocean Beach:

Hi Gary. Glad you liked that shot. You are free to include it on your website. An HTTP link back in the image caption such as "from Wikipedia" to the original wikipedia image page would be all I ask for. JA 23:43, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is this ok? http://www.cliffhouseproject.com/environs/oceanbeach/ocean_beach.htm#panorama
I'm happy to credit you by name as well if you like. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.217.89 (talk) 05:54, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good! Nice historical photos you got there. JA (talk) 19:21, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Image redirects[edit]

Actual image redirects do not work at all; it would be great if they did. That is, [[Image:A.png]] can never display anything other than what is in Image:A.png, no matter what redirect code is used or not used. What you're doing is bypassing the image description page of the thumbnail and going straight to the non-thumbnail. There are legal issues that require that the image description for each picture be available. Thus the reason that almost all images link to their image description pages, which shows, of course, copyright status, original author, etc. In addition to the redirects bypassing the correct image description page, having a redirect like the one you've created breaks queries for broken redirects; which is how I found the images. I removed the redirects because there is a link on the image description page explaining that the image is a thumbnail of the larger image. Either those links can suffice or you can use Template:Softredirect (see an example of Softredirect in action here: Wikipedia:The future of Wikipedia). Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 01:13, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The redirects work fine for the panoramas. The original copyright information can easily be seen on the non-redirected thumbnail -- wikipedia even has a link on the top to go back to it. The thumbnail is an image with all the copyright notices just like any other image uploaded to wikipedia so there are no legal issues with it. JA (talk) 02:39, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shimada Friendship Park image[edit]

Hello, I'm designing a newsletter for some of the residents of this area, and would like to use your beautiful photo in the masthead. Would this be all right with you? If so, how would you like to be attributed in a print context? I would edit out the people for privacy, convert the image to grayscale, and crop it. Thank you in advanceStonesundial (talk) 09:27, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
