March 2008[edit]

Hi, the recent edit you made to 1956 has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Will (talk) 01:59, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, changing the dates of when people were born can be seen as controversial, especially on year pages. Will (talk) 02:26, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected PGA Tour links[edit]

In Isao Aoki, the reason it makes sense to use the redirect link to [[Hawaiian Open]] instead of the piped [[Sony Open in Hawaii|Hawaiin Open]] is a matter of general link maintenance. There are over 100 links to Sony Open in Hawaii. When the tournament changes names (which PGA Tour events do quite often), then all 100+ piped links need to be changed. If on the other hand, redirect links are used on all the pages referring to older names of the tournament, then only the redirect links (currently 3) need to be changed to the new name. Request to move article New Kitakyushu Airport incomplete[edit]

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page New Kitakyushu Airport to a different title - however your request is either incomplete or has been contested for being controversial, and has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete will be removed after five days.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added a place for discussion at the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved. This can easily be accomplished by adding {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the page, which will automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 18:55, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RE: 2009[edit]

Could I ask, is the criteria international significance or international interest? If the latter, then the Blagojevich impeachment has been widely reported abroad; if the former, then your edit was correct. (I did check the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Years but all it said, rather vaguely, was that 'important' events should be reported.) Hadrian89 (talk) 17:49, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the Blagojevich impeachment on 2009 page, the article has been removed several times by other editors before I did. If you think that it is notable enough to be enlisted on 2009, you would better post your opinion on Talk:2009 and get consensus.--Belle Equipe (talk) 06:36, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
I went and discussed it and came out realising I was thoroughly wrong! Hadrian89 (talk) 12:26, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2009 - FedEx Express Flight 80[edit]

Please refrain form making personal attacks, I never once said I did not care about Asia. But I do think that plane crashes are unfortunalty all too regular and this particular one is no diferent from the many that happen every years. I started a discussion on Talk:2009 where I think it would have taken in the first place as your changes have been reverted twice already by two editors. J. League 2008 and 2009[edit]

Did you look at various of the football league articles? Qualifications to the other championships can be included in the league article - but better to make a note for those qualifications. That's why I added "Qualified as the winner of something in the 2008 article. Also, why you keep reverting the colours? Is it important to remain the format previously used? We used the old colours because those colours are by table format instead of Fb template. It's better to follow the general colours which used in most of the competition. Yes...bad faith[edit]

When you undo an edit without explanation, that *is* bad faith. Also, those deleted people do their jobs which sometimes gets them on TV. It doesn't mean that their job *is* being on TV. That would be like saying that the entire Yomiuri Giants team are tarento because they show their games on TV and are sometimes invited onto variety shows. BTW - It doesn't matter if I'm an anonymous user or not since I am POSITIVELY contributing to the article....and that means putting in personalities that succinctly fit the definition of tarento. Putting up a screen name doesn't automatically make you right or me wrong. It also looks like you have a temper problem with people that don't agree with you by another comment on your talk page. 126.68.4.4 (talk) 09:46, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why'd you delete the entry for 6th Feb? If that can be removed, so can others, theres nothing to say that other events in that year can be called off or postponed, etc. It is there because it's likely to happen and is a very very notable event. --Knowzilla 09:31, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse report rejected[edit]

I've rejected the Abuse report you filed, because it does not meet the guidelines on when an abuse report should be filed. There was only a 1 block history on the IP, but abuse reports requires that the IP be blocked at least 5 times. Thanks. Netalarm 17:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing, please assume good faith when editing Wikipedia. Your edits to an IP user's talk page seem to be in violation of some guidelines, because you repeatedly called the user an "Anonymous" user and implied registered users had more authority on Wikipedia. Example: Then, are you trying to bring up another false accusation against me as an ANONYMOUS user? Give me a break!. I chose not to use a warning template for this, because I hope this will be enough to change your views towards IP users. Thanks, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Delta/Northwest[edit]

Regarding you message on Jasepl's talk page. Yes, the flight is coded DL802/803 but the route is flown using a Northwest 747; also when you book the flight on Delta.com/NWA.com, there is an "Operated by Northwest Airlines" note under the flight. Therefore, Atlanta is listed as a destination for Northwest Airlines from Honolulu. Thanks! Charmedaddict (talk) 17:33, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your revert of 2009[edit]

So why is an English footballer somehow notable, but a Japanese wrestler isn't? By your edit summary (Misawa is unknown outside of Japan, unless puroresu fans), Bobby Robson should be removed as well. I doubt many people outside of England have heard of him. The same could be said for many other people on the list. In my view, it's because it's a pro wrestler and people love to think wrestlers aren't notable. Yet... wrestlers have been featured articles, did you knows and much more on Wikipedia. RobJ1981 (talk) 16:50, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have again removed your addition of this individual to 1994. The actor does not fit the criteria needed to be added to the article. If you feel it should be added back in, please discuss it in the talk page. Thanks... ttonyb1 (talk) 04:39, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Belle Equipe! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 937 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hawaii edit-a-thon[edit]

Hello. I'm interested in attempting to put together an edit-a-thon for Hawaiian cultural topics something during the Makahiki festival perhaps around the month of November. The hope is that our lackluster coverage of Hawaiian mythology could be improved with help from the Bishop Museum, Hawaii Pacific University, and the Honolulu public library. I am in the process of making initial contacts with these organizations as well as Wikimedia DC's GLAM project. If this sounds like something you might be interested in participating in, or perhaps helping to coordinate, could you please add your name to 2014 Makahiki Edit-a-thon?--v/r - TP 21:21, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for editors to help with an Asian Pacific American edit-a-thon in Honolulu[edit]

On Oahu? Edit Wikipedia or Wikimedia sister projects? You are invited to help the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center with an Asian Pacific American edit-a-thon in Honolulu this September.

Aloha!

Last summer I moved to the Seattle area after 14 years in Kailua on Oahu. I immediately fell in with the Cascadia Wikimedians User Group as it formed, joined its board and became its first president as well as the GLAM representative for Washington State.

Recently, Adriel Luis, Curator (Digital & Emerging Media) at the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, contacted me about setting up an edit-a-thon like the previous Wikipedia APA edit-a-thon. In addition to discussing one for Seattle, he wrote:

As I was working two jobs while I lived on Oahu, I did not have the opportunity to meet your or any other Wikipedians at the time. Hence, the reason why I am contacting you now.

If you would like to help, please contact me through one of these methods:
