Mohamed Hossam Eldin

Hi @BangJan1999. You just contested my speedy deletion nomination of the article Mohamed Hossam Eldin because "Criterion A7 does not apply: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7". Can you please explain that decision? The only source cited on the article is a database source with low, wide-sweeping generic standards of inclusion. These sources are explicitly stated not to be enough for notability on WP:SPORTCRIT. Am I missing something else? PopoDameron (talk) 20:34, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

@PopoDameron: WP:A7 is generally only used if there isn't any credible indication as to why the subject is notable, regardless of whether reliable sources back up said claim. For example, an article that just says "Mohamed Hossam Eldin is a footballer" would fall under A7, but the article in question says that the player plays for a notable club, which means that the article doesn't fall under A7. I would recommend instead proposed deletion or articles for deletion if you believe that the article doesn't fall under the general notability guideline. BangJan1999 20:50, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
All right thanks, that makes sense. I'll add a PROD and if it gets removed I'll just leave it be. PopoDameron (talk) 20:54, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Atomic Reach

Sorry about that, I thought it qualified due to it having a CEO and what not. I still believed it should be reviewed, because the link that's noted as the official website does not lead to Atomic Reach, instead it links to RAD, which does not appear to be connected to Atomic Reach in any case. The Shamming Man has appeared. 21:15, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

Fat fingers (mine)

I accidentally rollbacked an edit of yours to Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. Fat fingers on mobile phone. Sorry about that – I self reverted, of course. --bonadea contributions talk 12:37, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
