WP:CRI

My reversion of your edit was based on courtesy to other Wikipedia people. I don't think it's on for the cricket project to stake a claim to WP:CRI when there are other links that use these letters - WP:CRIT for one. We've operated to my knowledge for five and a half years happily as WP:CRIC, and others in the cricket project have been here longer than I have; if you think it's reasonable to change it, then suggest it at WT:CRIC first and get a consensus. But please don't just change things without consulting or talking to others. Thanks. Johnlp (talk) 18:43, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Delhi Metro Line 1.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip [i.e. a Word document or PDF file] that has no encyclopedic use.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ashwinikalantri talk 21:40, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Stumpy.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Stumpy.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 21:00, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

2011 World Cup schedule

Let the schedule of the World Cup remain a schedule. You have converted it into a list of matches and have now added the template for deletion saying that it is already present in the main article. You are editing in Wikipedia as if each of the pages present here is a blog created by you and you are its owner. The Schedule contains info about the opening ceremony, warm up matches, kick off concerts etc and hence needs to be present which is infact needed for every major tournament. The way it has been created shows the information about each day between the World Cup, whether matches are there or not, and gives more information about schedule and dates rather than scores. Please do not alter it.--Karyasuman (talk) 09:00, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:VCA stadium.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

A tag has been placed on File:Tendulkar graph.svg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

HP TouchPad image

Hey Ashwini - please could you not switch the image back to the stock press image? They are reproducible, so there's no real need to use the stock press images under fair use from HP. Cheers, Alex Muller 21:00, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Use the talk page or the article will get locked again; discuss this edit. Do not characterise good faith edits as vandalism. And most importantly do not add copyrighted material (an old issue, but considering you've been warned about copyright before it's disappointing you didn't spot and fix this problem yourself). Orphaned non-free image File:KochiLogo.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:KochiLogo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

Vandalism??

How was my change vandalism? I justified my change and if you actually look what I did, then you should agree with it. A match between Bangladesh and India in Bangladesh means Bangladesh should be Team 1 and not Team 2. It is very straightforward logic... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brad 191919191 (talkcontribs) 16:32, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Thats fine, all you had to do was say that in your comments when you undid my change. Marking a change made in good faith as vandalism is rediculously immature.
