Liberty and Justice Party moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Liberty and Justice Party, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 16:14, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Sorry for the late reply, I only recently found out how to talk on these pages, by watching the edits; nevertheless, I appreciate your comment. I will try to expand the article more! :D Aryan Persaud (talk) 02:03, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Election article titles[edit]

Hello. Just an FYI, election article titles only use a specific year if an election is legally required to be held then, or if it is the only possible year left to hold it in (e.g. Next Japanese general election was moved to 2021 Japanese general election in the last few days of December 2020 as it had to be held by 2021 and could no longer be held in 2020). If it is possible for early elections to be held, we use 'Next ... election'. Cheers, Number 57 20:36, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I believe I already replied to you on this issue, but thanks for the heads up. I'm relatively new to Wikipedia and I'm trying to expand so I can make the best quality edits. Appreciate it! Aryan Persaud (talk) 02:04, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Joseph Harmon has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Information icon Hello, I'm Discospinster. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to 1972 Canadian federal election—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. ... discospinster talk 01:47, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I see, thank you for informing me. The only reason I made the edit in the first place is because people said the Stanfield image is only allowed on his main article.

Why are you interested in Canadian politics so much? :)[edit]

Hello, sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I am wondering what makes you interested in Canadian politics (a good chunk of your edits are related to that topic), as you are a Guyanese citizen? :) Ak-eater06 (talk) 21:15, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, hello! I have a lot of relatives in Canada and will hopefully be moving there, like 2 years from now, to study. So, I've been studying it a lot and have gotten acquainted with it. :P

Disambiguation link notification for September 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Joseph Harmon, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages David Granger and Guyanese. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:52, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Visual editor and templates[edit]

Hello. Could I strongly recommend that you not use visual editor when creating or copying templates like election infoboxes or results table. It leaves the code in an absolute mess, making it really difficult for other editors to subsequently work on the article if they are editing normally.

See this edit where I put the code in some kind of logical order and format. You might have also noticed that there were three empty columns – this was because you had |ongoing=no which is used when an election is over, otherwise it should be set to yes. Also, you missed of the |last_election1 parameters. Cheers, Number 57 19:50, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, Hello. Since I started Wikipedia, which is only a few months ago I've used Visual Editor because it was easier on me as a newcomer. Now that I've started editing a bit more, I realized the Source editor is pretty effective as well. Still trying to figure everything out, but your suggestion is noted and being worked on. P.S - This isn't related to the main message, but was wondering how I can go about doing that Transclusion thing on your user page? I've seen it and wanted to have one on mine for a while, but I can't really figure out how to do so, because as mentioned I've only been editing for a few months now. Aryan Persaud (talk) 21:51, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Which transclusion thing? Number 57 21:55, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah? Are you Guyanese? I am living in England but Guyanese family https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:EmilePersaud 00:01, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah! I am. I think I've seen you on Wikipedia before on the 2020 election article, if I recall Aryan Persaud (talk) 00:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah. I remember how long that article was in limbo because of the rigg- delays in the election. I was so happy when it was done. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:EmilePersaud 18:34, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@EmilePersaud: Yeah, everyone here was happy when the results were declared — me and my family were personally jumping for joy, and decided to cook something else out of celebration, as we're hardcore supporters of the PPP. There were tons of memes, which everyone found funny, but also a crap-ton of anxiety because, every day you wake up and you hear some new attempt to derail the election, and at one point some of us even thought we'd be having another election! September 2021[edit]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Philip "Brave" Davis. As my edit summary implied, WP:DOB is to be taken seriously. Toddst1 (talk) 18:18, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thanks for noting, just a heads up, the section where you added [who?], I have re-worded it in a different manner. Cheers Aryan Persaud (talk) 18:26, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to 2021 Canadian federal election, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 12:27, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I beg you pardon? Last time I checked, all I did was update the numbers using the CBC. Don't know how it didn't appear to be constructive, because it was supposed to be helpful to the article. Cheers! Aryan Persaud (talk) 12:34, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Might have been an edit conflict, because you also removed another well-sourced sentence. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 12:37, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. Well if that did happen, I certainly didn't mean to do that. I was trying to update the results, sorry about that.. cheers Aryan Persaud (talk) 12:38, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
