Thanks for comments.Plz see the picture located at http://www.pudhari.com/Static/Features/Belgaon_border_issue/f_belgaon154.htm and confirm if it is Hindi or Marathi. You are not able to see anything because u dont have Marathi font. U said mahanagarpalika is also used in Hindi but the civil body of Varanasi uses the word 'Nagar Nigam';see Varanasi_Nagar_Nigam mahawiki 04:42, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Read the diffs on JGM properly before you make accusations. You seem to have a problem with me whether I support Hindi or not. What IS your problem?? Sarvagnya 14:24, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bismillah Khan[edit]

Hi, I have removed a line you added about Bismillah Khan playing the shehnai for Swades for the song 'Ye Jo Des Hai Tera'. What I found from the Swades official website is that the shehnai was played by a person named Madhu, and that Bismillah Khan is nowhere credited. However if you have references for the earlier statement, please provide that and I'll put back the line. Jay 12:11, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sarvagnya[edit]

Hi, Thanks for ur message.I know this guy is complaing against me to each and every admin possible. This is so cheap. The root cause of this problem is his defeat on Belgaon page where he opposed Marathi transliteration.I do know his anti-Hindi/sanskrit rants in VM,JGM article too!A admin had mediated himself but he's still continuing his crap in maratha_empire and busy removing the 'great' tag from Shivaji.Mahawiki 14:57, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Civility[edit]

Hi, If you think I have been incivil to you, please feel free to go to an admin and complain. Thanks. Sarvagnya

I am amazed that someone who openly called me 'biased' and what not can take exception to "Let me refresh your memory". I am really surprised that you find "let me refresh your memory" incivil! Sarvagnya 10:05, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, brother[edit]

Apandey, thanks for supporting me and pointing out the fallacies of anti-Hindi Sarvagnya's baseless and laughable statements. What is the problem of this guy. I saw his comments on Vande Mataram and Belgaon and some other pages as well, he gets into brawls everywhere. I don't know why some people hate Hindi so much. It is so disheartening for me. Such a great language is suffering because of some people's whimsical viewpoints. It does not bode well for our nation. I can't help but get angry at thes people like Sarvagnya. I will not let him defame Hindi as he is doing. Subuddhi 03:21, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apandey[edit]

I am sorry if I came across as promoting Sarvagnya. It would also seem deliberate as you might gather that I am a native speaker of Bengali. You will note that I didn't mention mahawiki or Arya either. The reason is simply this I had skimmed through the posts and only seen Subuddhi's emotional comments. I had missed Sarvagyna's reply while reading the rest of it. That's why when mahawiki responded, I didn't reply any further, because in essence I agreed that even Saravgnya's comments were out of colour. However, seeing that the page had gotten to a huge size, I didnt'want to prolong the matter any further. Please don't misunderstand me. I have absolutely no disrespect for Hindi and I speak/read/write it to a highly proficient level. The "million articles" part is something not specific to the Jana Gana Mana page but something I have felt for a while, that maybe sometimes we (including myself) focus to much on one or two articles (however important they may be), instead of others. If you follow the Kargil War page and how it has been the subject of recent edit wars, you'll understand exactly what I mean. I am not meaning to say, one should back off from ones stand, just that let's collaborate more. That part was me thinking out loud and not directed to or against anyone. It was a general comment. I am sorry if I've caused any misunderstanding that made it look like I was "taking sides." You can see from my contribution history that this is something I pride myself in NOT doing. Take care. --Antorjal 13:51, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hindi Wikipedia[edit]

Namaskar Apandey. I have seen some of your comments on how beautilful and great Hindi and India are. Since you are so passionate you may consider joining Hindi Wikipedia. Here is the hi:Main Page. Hindi Wiki only has about 2000 articles even though it is one of the most spoken languages in the world. There are languages that are only spoken by 5 million people but have 10000 articles on Wikipedia. This is very embarrassing for Hindi speakers. Please join. (If you don't like typing in Devnagari just tell me, I have a solution). GizzaChat © 08:07, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have some sites that convert online -> [1] [2] [3] (for the third one, after you enter click the word "Keyboard" then choose Romanised Hindi). I also have some sites where you can download a simple converter. [4] [5] Eg. Writing Teraa naam kyaa hai? becomes तेरा नाम क्या है? Also note that on Hindi Wikipedia, when you click edit, underneath, there is a set of the entire Devanagri alphabet. Good luck और जै हिन्द! GizzaChat © 08:31, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for you work on Hindi. I am not a native Hindi speaker, but I can speak / read Hindi and I think it is a beautiful language. Gizza is absolutely right that Hindi is way under-represented on the internet, considering its importance as a major language.HeBhagawan 19:17, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

edit[edit]

I never put a message when I edit. I just put a message when I have put my comments on talk page of Hinduism. If, you do not want edit wars, pl. restrain your boasting and threatening language. This does not mean that I will make the matter an issue of prestige and edit the article vengefully. I am editing as I am sure of what I am doing. Hope you note your age and experience while you threaten someone. I want to see that you cool headedly argue on valid points. Swadhyayee 14:44, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re:message[edit]

You should all be civil in argument like Adi Shankara. No I do not know him personally, yes I took him under my wing when he was a newbie and helped him out. He is nothing like USer: "S", he's educated in the Gita and contribute just as much s you and HeBhagwan. My opinion is that I dont think any of the yogs are mainstream and that they dont deserve a huge spot in the article.Bakaman Bakatalk 16:01, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I never suggested you were incivil. I'm saying that it should be more of a philosophical debate (like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu vs Keshav KAshmiri and Adi Shankara vs the Buddhist monks). I dont know enough about the Gita to enter the discussion.Bakaman Bakatalk 16:08, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Remove bulk of the sections on yogas?[edit]

Here is why I am hesitant to remove the sections on the yogas. I live in the west, and I know a lot of Christians. Many of these Christians would have some difficulty understanding the basic concept of "many paths, one goal." The concept is just completely foreign to their way of thinking, becasue in their own religion this concept does not exist at all. They have a basic assumption that only one path can be true. This is also true for some Muslims and Jews. So I am thinking that the examples of the four yogas could help such people understand the concept better. Of course they could understand it by going to other links as you suggest, but it seems to me that it is important to give them at least a minimal understanding on the Hinduism page itself. But I'll consider your idea further. What do you think?HeBhagawan 13:49, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reply[edit]

I apologize for adding Swadhyayee's name to your note. I thought you had omitted it by mistake. Thanks for your efforts on the article. Moderating discussions and policing vandalism is important. HeBhagawan 19:14, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont think i can add any input to the replies you have made on the mediation case. I think that If he accuses anyone of sockpuppetry again, he may be blocked. I am sorry as i wont be able to follow the course of the case (as I am quiet busy these days). I request you to notify me on my talk page in case he again alleges sockpuppetry.nids(♂) 20:01, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Etymology[edit]

I don't think that the person who deleted the etymology section was a vandal. He was probably just making an effort to trim the less-essential parts of the article out. Although I love linguistics and etymology, I tend to agree with the edit. The particular history of the word "Hindu" is not very central to an understanding of the religion itself. But I don't feel strongly one way or the other on this.

Jana Gana Mana[edit]

Hi, since you have commented before on the Jana Gana Mana talk page, would you kindly check my comment on the constituent assembly at the end? I found a transcript of the pertinent session, and wonder if you know if that is a correct version. Thanks,--ppm 18:59, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Karma[edit]

If you get a chance, please provide your thoughts on the debate over the wording of a paragraph on karma on the Hinduism discussion page. The debate is not over doctrine, it is primarily over wording and clarity. Thanks! HeBhagawan 20:16, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Haven't heard from you lately[edit]

How are you doing? I haven't come across you lately on the Hinduism article or anywhere else. I hope you are well.HeBhagawan

Namaste, I'll be disappointed if you don't participate in the Hinduism article, or at least in the Hinduism project. Swadhyayee was away for a while, although now he is back. Several other editors have been doing some very good work to help maintain the quality.

I have one unrelated question: You are from Varanasi, right? I have been there but some years back. It is my favorite city in the world. One thing I can only remember vaguely is this: Isn't there a large murti of Bhīm (from the Mahabharat) near the Ganga somewhere? Do you know which ghat that is at? I was reading a book from the 19th century that mentioned that murti, so I was just trying to remember exactly where I saw it. Thanks. HeBhagawan 19:14, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Hindu Religion[edit]

Hello Apandey,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hindu Religion for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Tom29739 [talk] 08:46, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
