Sign your Talk page comments[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Grand Slam Women's Singles Champions Talk page, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Remember to sign your posts, especially, when starting a new section in a talk page.

Less questions, more action[edit]

Hey, there, @Antipodenz I noticed you have been asking a lot of questions lately in the Major men's singles champs Talk page. I propose you, instead of asking questions for various things to be done. I suggest you look into WP:Be bold and start taking action. You will learn a lot of new things, gain Wikipedian editorial skills and be more independent with the changes you are proposing in various other talk pages, tennis-related and otherwise. Don't take this as a preaching/offense but as a friendly advice. Qwerty284651 (talk) 23:25, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I have made some edits but am challenged with the tables (as an example), plus a number of the proposals I have put forward seen to need people to think about first. Antipodenz (talk) 07:51, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Antipodenz Sorry for the late reply. Look, I know it is looks all scary at first when you open up the edit source code and all these different punctuation marks and jibber-jabbers, and you don't want to do, how to edit things. I know this feeling, because I, too, was afraid when I started editing. I wanted to change so many things, but I didn't know how, so I backed away. I admire your persistence to open up discussions on various Wiki sites, I edit on frequently, but you do need to take action, regardless. Even if you mess things up upon saving, you can always revert/undo to previous version for any un-protected wiki site. Just be brave. Refer to this guide to help you get started. for any questions you can always write me on my talk page. Qwerty284651 (talk) 01:24, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

September 2021[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Francis Fisher, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Schwede66 16:22, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks, what part of the content do you think could be subject to dispute? Antipodenz (talk) 07:47, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That’s not the point about minor edits. You add or delete any content and it’s not a minor edit. The underlying rationale is that watchlists can be configured to omit minor edits, and changes to content must show up. Schwede66 15:37, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks. Antipodenz (talk) 18:35, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
