I can't edit this page because it is semi-protected, but I wanted to say this war stopped for a day for people to enjoy the game of soccer. It was December 25, 1914 and the soldiers were getting ready for Christmas in their trenches. You had the Germans on one side and the Scottish on the other. They both began to sing and decorate their trenches for Christmas. Someone finally brought out a soccer ball and both sides began to play. They became friends, but the next day they had to go back to shooting one another.
