I Am Blocked But Do Not Know Why[edit]

My ability to edit has been blocked by another administrator who says I sent her an e-mail but I never did. How do I rectify this situation? Thank you. Angikay2 19:27, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see a block on your username. Can you perhaps post the message you get when you try to edit an article? It should have your ip address in it that we can check for autoblocks. Syrthiss 19:31, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you managed to somehow put a message on my talk page, it means you're free to edit. Otherwise, please paste the full block message text below. Misza13 19:37, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is the Message I get[edit]

Thanks for your help. Angikay2 19:47, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing.

You were blocked by Misza13 for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "DCC SEND HELLOANDWELCOMETOLOLTOW„ 0 0 0". The reason given for DCC SEND HELLOANDWELCOMETOLOLTOW„ 0 0 0's block is Your IP address is 205.188.116.200.

You are not blocked from reading pages, only from editing them. If you were only intending to read a page and are seeing this message, you probably followed a red link. These are links to pages that do not exist, so they take users to an editing screen. You should have no problem if you follow only blue links.

If you would like to know when the block will expire, please search for your name or IP on the block list.

If the reason given is "username", "user...", or "contact an administrator for verification purposes", then you or someone with whom you share an IP address has most likely been blocked for choosing an inappropriate or suspicious username. Please read our username policy for more information. If you do not feel that the name is inappropriate, or if the name was registered by somebody other than yourself, please contact the blocking administrator, as described below.

Well, if you (again!) managed to post to my talk page, then there should really be no collateral blocks active. But to make sure, any blocks possibly affecting you have been lifted. Happy editing! Misza13 20:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aol Proxy Servers[edit]

Today I received a lot of various messages relating to attempts to edit pages I have never been on. Apparently, because I am using AOL, other people can appear to be me. I am not sure how to avoid this, but will begin doing researchAngikay2 18:45, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
