GA reviews[edit]

I have reviewed the "Rory Storm" article. Please see the talk page. There isnt much that needs doing. Realist2 (talk) 09:15, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I want to fail Natural family planning for GA as its edit history suggests volitility and i believe it fails the quick failer points. Should i fail it. Check the edit history [1]Realist2 (talk) 12:30, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok cheers, shame for them, they had been waiting weeks as well. Never mind. Realist2 (talk) 12:52, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Im going to keep an eye on this article, monitor it for a week, if things improve i will review it. Realist2 (talk) 14:09, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think now. Realist2 (talk) 19:23, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another GA review[edit]

Could you check my review of this article. There is also a conversation that has gone on at both our talk pages. My feeling is that more information is needed on their 1st and 2nd album and the activism section could do with bulking up. The user maintains (and I agree) that it is literally impossible to find any more information on this act. Less than 10,000 bytes seem to little for a GA articl but i dont know.... anyway your thoughts would be appreciated. Also i gave your article a GA award. Well done. Realist2 (talk) 20:21, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey could you get back to me on this issue, im a little stumped. Realist2 (talk) 14:01, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey those are the guide lines i use, maybe im being to strict or too tuff?Realist2 (talk) 18:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thats for leaving advise, ive finished my review of Pattie by the way. Realist2 (talk) 19:04, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I`ve done some trimming on the breakup paragraph, it still reads like a maze of sluttyness tho :0 . Realist2 (talk) 19:52, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers you better look at the GA nomination talk page!!!!!!!!!!.[2] Realist2 (talk) 17:46, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally i feel under great pressure to pass the article just to get them off my case, of course i would never do that, i really need some assistance on this one, Realist2 (talk) 18:08, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wait the 5 days, and then, if they don't SHUT UP and do the right thing, fail it. They will only put it back on again straight away. It's not your problem.--andreasegde (talk) 18:29, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know how impatient, its like they have some entitlement to GA or something. Most articles go on hold for a period of time, but filling out some report on me is like intimidating me to pass it. Realist2 (talk) 18:33, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What report?--andreasegde (talk) 18:35, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well not report but complaint, the link above. Realist2 (talk) 18:38, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've now read it (Doh!) and have replied.--andreasegde (talk) 18:46, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers, im so sorry, your ment to be on a wiki holiday too. Realist2 (talk) 19:05, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure i think it might be for the best, how can i possibly review it now with this mess, Realist2 (talk) 19:13, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAIL IT, and do something else.--andreasegde (talk) 19:26, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx for correcting my spelling, when i get frustrated my english goes out the window. Realist2 (talk) 19:40, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So does mine. Why do yoi think I male soo many edits on a talk page? Plus; my keyboard has arthritiss (plastic bone problem)... :))--andreasegde (talk) 19:46, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to defend yourself from this here. Realist2 (talk) 20:01, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What the hell should I write here?[edit]

D'you have any ideas for Beatles articles I could improve? I really can't find any. Thanks. Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 23:11, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That GA issue and more[edit]

Hey that article is being reassessed, im not going to contribute any comments to the reassessment unless my name starts getting dragged through the mud, but your free to leave your ideas there if you so wish. Looking at the comments made SO FAR it seems that they believe the failer was the right decision. That might change as more people contribute but i dont think i or you should be concerned about our actions. In all the mess i havent had the opportunity to thank you so much for my barnstar. A shame it all ended on a low note but i am grateful for your support and guidance. Realist2 (talk) 20:19, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A Hard Day's Night (film)[edit]

I have reviewed it, i contacted the original nominator but as you edit more frequently than him and as it needs more work than the previous articles ive informed the both of you. Need any more advise and you know where I am. ;-0 Realist2 (talk) 09:32, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

Hey feel free to edit ANY MJ article, i might be queen B here when it comes to michael jackson but i dont own any article. Its going to fail anyway as the citations arent formatted. Can i share a secret with you.... I cant formatt citations . DOH!!!!!!!!!! Realist2 (talk) 23:29, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would really like that, ive contacted about 12 editors who are on the michael jackson wikiproject for help hopefully they will get back to me. The main thing stopping it getting GA is that. Please stick citation tags where you seen fit, while your formatting ill find sources. We are running out of time, the article is at the top of the list. I still have my obligations to some beatles articles as well.... the list goes on. ;-) Realist2 (talk) 23:42, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow can you believe it, some one just vandalised my page calling me the N word, on the 40th anniversary of Dr King as well, how sad ;-( Realist2 (talk) 23:46, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers[edit]

Cheers for getting started on this your wording is much better ;-). Ive been up really late reviewing articles, theres a few beatles onces im still involved with as well. Appreciate your continued support. Realist2 (talk) 02:54, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thriller[edit]

Hey ive put a note on the nomination page telling them there isnt a rush to review thriller, it might give us a little more time before the review fingers crossed. Ill remove it again in the next few days. Dont be disparaged (OK thats an english word I cant spell ;-o) by all the citation formatting. A lot of the sources for the thriller 25 stuff are the same so that should make it easier. Realist2 (talk) 14:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did # 48, can you check it and give me some feedback. Realist2 (talk) 15:16, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure[edit]

Good idea, if you have AIM we can coordinate our edits, otherwise we will have edit clashes. We need to be able to communicate so we dont break eachothers edits. Realist2 (talk) 15:24, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews[edit]

I just changed a link to a review of thriller 25 into a citation. Should i have done that or this their a different rule for links to reviews. I might just leave them to you if so. Realist2 (talk) 15:42, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not quite sure what you mean.--andreasegde (talk) 15:47, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Look down at the Thriller 25 section, usually the reviews has a LINK which you click on. However i changed the all music review from a link into a proper in line citation. Not sure i should have. Realist2 (talk) 15:50, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see anything wrong with it.--andreasegde (talk) 15:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, if you think its ok ill continue with the others. ;-) Realist2 (talk) 16:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do (what have I let myself in for? :))--andreasegde (talk) 16:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ha , so true, but just think im planning to get Thriller up to FA by the end of the year. A great way to celebrate Thriller 25. It might even make news outside of the wiki community. Realist2 (talk) 16:04, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a lot of info, it's got a lot of refs, but the text will have to be cleaned. The FA-types are a bit snobbish.--andreasegde (talk) 16:07, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah its quite hard with english not being my first language, it needs "smoothing out", my english isnt strong enough to get it to FA. Realist2 (talk) 16:12, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're doing well. Someone will help you in the fuuture if you ask nicely. I'm off to the supermarket, so you can carry on...--andreasegde (talk) 16:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want, I could help you. I'm not too shabby with the English language, having taken an English course in college and it being my first language. Please feel free to talk to me on my for any questions or comments. Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 16:22, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA[edit]

A Hard Day's Night (film)‎ has passed GA. You might want to add it to your wiki project if someone hasn't already. Realist2 (talk) 19:57, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just did, and I thank you. 28 GAs, so far.--andreasegde (talk) 20:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I dare not look for MJ its a LOT lower. Realist2 (talk) 21:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Thanks a lot for the Barnstar. I appreciate it, coming from such a great guy as yourself. It's things like these that make you worthy of being on Realist2's list. Thanks a lot! Please feel free to talk to me on my for any comments. Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 21:34, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks x 2[edit]

Dude cheers, also ive even learnt you to use the same source again and again just by using that "/". Wow now Thriller stands a chance of getting a GA. Your a great teacher. Realist2 (talk) 21:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I second that emotion. :) Please feel free to talk to me on my for any comments. Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 22:45, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thriller[edit]

Speaking of GAs, I've reviewed Thriller (album) and put it on hold. See the talk page for my review. Feel free to add your opinion, it will be helpful. Thanks a lot for the barnstar and everything you've done. Cheers, la! Kodster (talk)

Thriller[edit]

Thanx for some more nice work at thriller, ive left a question at the talk page regarding youtube links. Id say we are about 60 percent through those citations !!! Has a look at the recording and release section, i took thinks away from it and stuck them in more suitable places just leaving 3 or 4 lines. Whats left its even that important, it cound just be deleted. Thought Realist2 (talk) 14:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

refTools[edit]

I'm really happy that I realized this, because it will probably make your lives SO much easier. When you click "My Preferences", and go to "Gadgets", click "refTools" under "Editing Gadgets". It gives you a button so that when you edit, all you have to do is pick what you're citing (a website, a book, etc.) and fill in the information, and it does it for you! It's a lot easier! Hope that helps! Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 17:12, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because of Edit conflicts, I preferred to use Winword, as I could fill it out and then slip it into the article in no time at all. It's a good tool though, but what about if you have to cite a page more than once? --andreasegde (talk) 17:27, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

imdb as a source[edit]

Hey, sorry to interrupt your possible break. Not a major deal, but imdb is a user contribution site and is not usually a good source of source citations. Glad you are looking for that section after recent discussions thereof, but we there must be more solid references? Have a good break if you managed to keep from clicking over here! (John User:Jwy talk) 19:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know about imdb.--andreasegde (talk) 20:41, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crestville speaks[edit]

Even if it's from me?--Crestville (talk) 20:45, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, you puller of heartstrings during your teenage years, of course not, (Vera and Tvoz included) but I've heartily had it up to here with pushing my nose in a book and sending myself blind with webpage URLs. 29 Beatles' GAs is good enough in my book (and not Spitz's or Miles' :)--andreasegde (talk) 20:51, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yay!! I am honored to be in your company, Crestie and Vera. So, Andreas - don't read the books, just hang around. It will be really lonely without you. (Where's Vera, by the way? Miss him too.)Tvoz |talk 22:04, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kodster speaks[edit]

If I may say so, I think it's 28 GAs (although you helped me so much, you might as well take the credit). I don't really mind. I'm working on A Day in the Life, and I should nominate it in a few days. Thanks for all your help. :) Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 21:26, 6 April 2008 (UTC) [reply]

It's 29, because I didn't do it myself, but with others, and your good self (Crestville started Mimi Smith, for example) and they are a contribution to The Beatles Project. I take no credit for doing it myself, because Wikipedia is a joint effort. WE all did it together, as my inspiration started because of the interest of other editors. I am a team player, and I'm proud of that.--andreasegde (talk) 21:58, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, no need to get sentimental. :) Just kidding, I understand. And I'm honored to get my very own section. Thank you. :) Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 22:36, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't sentimental, it's how it is :) If people work together, and realise that it is allowed, and it actually works, then everything is possible.--andreasegde (talk) 22:41, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The thanks should go to: Kodster, Vera, Chuck & Dave, kingboyk, Hotcop2, Crestville, Tvoz, Brakn, Patthedog, John Cardinal, and many others (sorry if I forgot someone) who also worked on them, as well as Realist2, and dihydrogen monoxide (as well as others) for dilligently reviewing some of them. This is a project, and I was very happy to be a part of it.--andreasegde (talk) 22:04, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yikes at this rate i might as well join the beatles project. ;-) Realist2 (talk) 22:22, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Something Special[edit]

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
For having worked on a lot of Beatles GAs, and never giving up (especially on my hopeless case ;)), and for contributing so many hours to Wikipedia, I humbly bequeath you with this barnstar on my behalf and (I'm sure) many other's. Thanks! Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 21:33, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thank thee kindly, Kodster.--andreasegde (talk) 13:16, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah well deserved, ive been scouting around myself to get you something, ill know what it is when i see it. Realist2 (talk) 21:41, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Citation Barnstar The Citation Barnstar
I give you, andreasegde, this barnstar for your hard work at finding, formating and teaching others everything there is to know about sources. Thankyou for your service, your semi retirement will NOT go unnoticed. Enjoy. Realist2 (talk) 04:05, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thank thee as well, Realist2,--andreasegde (talk) 13:16, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Right, mate[edit]

Can I slip off into the netherworld now?--andreasegde (talk) 23:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, you're not going to kill yourself, are you? Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 23:16, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I should think not, my dear Kodster :) I have to sort out exactly what I'm going to do with a few financial proposals that are being flung my way. It's time to start some real work, although (as I laughingly said to my girlfriend) I will probably be remembered in 50 years for changing The Beatles' Project photo of the zebra crossing, and adding a blue VW car to it, which was actually a car from Vienna :)) I'm a talented, but very logical person (which is difficult for some of my friends) but who really enjoys working with people I respect. I have met a lot of really nice people here, which I truly appreciate (you know who I mean, as mentioned before). I think it's time for others to take over, but I will be back occasionally, for a bit of banter. I have laughed so much at editors comments, because they were so funny, but I have also been really pissed off (or pissed in American) at others. It's alright, it's only that I started with the idea of adding to something worthwhile, and I think I have done that. To tell you the truth, I'm a bit bored, but the last few weeks with you and Realist2 was very nice. I wish you the best, and I will not be that far away, as the internet, and my user name, will prove.--andreasegde (talk) 23:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, this is good, and why not? :)) I do not have a girl's name (as Wiki-friends constantly taunted me with, but I laughed a lot) but it actually is David Andrew Edge/Andrew Edge. There you go; I've "outed" myself. That should do the trick... :)--andreasegde (talk) 00:07, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Im gonna miss your help, please come back now and again, dont stick one of those retirement tags up though its awfully depressing. Oh and yes ok the beatles are ok really ;-) Realist2 (talk) 01:14, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lol[edit]

Lol correcting my spelling , what you like ;-) Realist2 (talk) 00:41, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bye[edit]

Just wanted to say goodbye to the best Wikipedia editor ever. (Oh, wait, nevermind, there's him. :) Hope everything turns out for the best, and don't forget to drop in once in a while. Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 00:58, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MJ[edit]

Hi there i put the Michael Jackson article up for FA, ive resolved everyones issues to date. Would you mind putting your input/advise/opposition/ensorsement. CheersRealist2 (talk) 18:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

A lot of the images you've uploaded don't have any source information. Can you add sources to them please. Polly (Parrot) 20:21, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So...[edit]

Do you have any plans of coming back in a month or so? Mind you, I don't want to fulfill your above quotation from a hideously produced movie, but I was just wondering. You always brought a lot of energy here; things aren't quite the same. Oh well, have fun on your break (I'm assuming it's not retirement, like Realist2 almost took). Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 19:40, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do pop in from time to time, but I'm tired of the complaints and arguments from other people (you and Realist2 excluded, BTW). Maybe I should be a fleeting/visiting figure like Kingboyk, but I'll think about it. It is very nice to know you, BTW. :)--andreasegde (talk) 19:45, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh you'l come back, ive had so really really hard times here recently but i stayed. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 21:48, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
