In response to your feedback[edit]

And you did the right thing: you engaged discussion on the articles talk-page. You could also post on the talk-page of the user who undid your changes, btw.

Lectonar (talk) 14:30, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Lectonar but the problem I have with Wikipedia is that it is editors like the one who undid my work who are the ones who should be engaging on talk pages with people like me, not the other way around. What that person did by not engaging with me was rude, and unwelcoming to a new person. It is the exact thing that I had read about in criticisms of Wikipedia. And it is the thing that you need to fix. AlexinaDuel (talk) 10:45, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

FMWU Page[edit]

I have edited the Amalgamation section of the Federated Miscellaneous Workers' Union page, which you recently edited. I think the new wording makes it clearer that the product of the amalgamation of the FMWU and FLAIEU was the LHMU, and that the name change to United Voice has only happened comparatively recently. Thanks for your efforts in improving this page. Warrenjs1 (talk) 00:25, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the edit Warren, it was definitely a bit clunky, glad you fixed it. I am going to remove the LHMU link and leave the united voice one as the LHMU redirects now to United Voice. Hope that's ok with you. AlexinaDuel (talk) 01:29, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ged Kearney's birthdate[edit]

Hi. Where did you find this detail? Can you provide a source? Thanks. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 03:41, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jack, the Branch Secretary Mark Boyd told the 200 attendees that it was Ged's birthday and Ged confirmed and accepted a gift. I know this is probably not good enough, happy for you to delete if you'd like. AlexinaDuel (talk) 03:48, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Verity Firth March 2014.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Verity Firth March 2014.jpg, which you've attributed to A VRT notice was applied over 60 day(s) ago, but no message at VRTS has been found since this tag was applied.. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:09, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ron, please delete the file. I did have permission from the copyright owner, but could not easily get them to assign the specific licence in time, so I uploaded a file that I personally owned as a CC licence. AlexinaDuel (talk) 05:13, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi PNGWantok, I am confused by your message. I clearly stated "I took this photo on July 26 2014 at NSW ALP State Conference." and also added a CC licence to the photo. Can you clarify please. AlexinaDuel (talk) 23:15, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Dr Meredith Burgmann.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dr Meredith Burgmann.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:05, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I added a licence status when I uploaded the file. "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND 2.0)." --AlexinaDuel (talk) 05:24, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dr Meredith Burgmann.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. File copyright problem with File:Verity Firth 2010.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Verity Firth 2010.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
