Spanish Civil War post-war executions[edit]

He says a bit more than that:

... the generally accepted figure of 50,000 [executions] after the war may be too low. If one adds on the unofficial and random killings, and those who died during the war from execution, suicide, hunger and sicknes in prison, the total figure probably approaches 200,000.

Flag[edit]

i wasnt trying to change the icon to a nationalist flag but to one indicating army of africa, - if that is the chinese nationalist flag I got it from the main article on the sp civil war where it is described as a spanish morocco flag. if its Chinese it should be changed at the main article too Sayerslle (talk) 23:12, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

P.S I read on a website " the proclamation of 26 August made official what was general practice - in seville Queipo de llano used the red and gold from the moment he seized the city - on day one 'the Republican flag was at once struck and the red and gold raised ..' Paracuellos numbers[edit]

Hi, I've been noticing your good work on the Paracuellos massacre article. Two questions; One, do you think that we should get rid of the 12,000 estimate as it's obviously far too high. Your English is fine! Ok I suggest we note that early estimates cite 12,000 but this is clearly too high. I'm nervous about getting rid of Vidal altogether though, for fear of being accused of political bias, (see talk on the Paracuellos page). "Military history" is one of the most important subjects when speak of sum of all human knowledge. To support contributors interested in the area over various language Wikipedias, we intend to form a user group. It also provides a platform to share the best practices between military historians, and various military related projects on Wikipedias.
