Hi, Paul![edit]

Just fyi, I'm your new mentor. Click here if you need to contact me on-wiki, or here if you need to email me. And here, if you'd like to find out more about me. I look forward to working with you and wish you good luck on your article writing. Bon courage ! — La Pianista  19:55, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and you might want to move this to your sandbox or a Sandbox 2 so SineBot (a bot that automatically signs edits on talk pages) won't tag every revision with a template. — La Pianista  22:04, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One last thing - please let me know when you move this to the mainspace so I can add it to my watchlist. Thanks. :) — La Pianista  22:07, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've created the discussion page here. Let's start talking about the article as soon as possible. And please don't be afraid to ask me questions! :) I'm more than willing to help.

Also, may I move the contents of your sandbox there? I would just like to keep all discussions in one place. — La Pianista  14:35, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Of course you can move the contents of the sandbox to the discussion page. We have set up a meeting with our professor to discuss our page this week. Looking forward to making progress on it :) --AestheticFriends (talk) 19:22, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved the article to my sandbox for future edits. This way the public policy box on my page will link to it instead of having it in sandbox 2. --AestheticFriends (talk) 12:23, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) Do let me know how the meeting goes. — La Pianista  21:26, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Meeting went well. Got a lot more helpful information to add to the article! Going to get together with the group this weekend to work hard at editing the article. :)--AestheticFriends (talk) 23:45, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yay, good to know! I'd ask you to come on IRC sometime this weekend, but I'll be busy as hell so I'll likely miss you. But I'll make sure to check in on you guys when I can. — La Pianista  07:33, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I met with professor Obar and like Paul said we got a lot of new resources from him and new ideas to work out. He suggested focusing on one main group to represent. When me and him met in lab we did a little more research and found lots of articles, cases, and information in representation or lack there of, of African Americans and I think is would be a great idea to move in that direction. Also how can we get a main page running I would like to add the content we have already and setup the different areas of our paper. Sonntag6 (talk) 02:56, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's simpler than you think - just start writing! :) Go to Paul's sandbox and click the little down arrow tab towards the top of the page (to the right of the "Edit," "View History," and star tabs), and then click "Move." After "New title:" enter "Minority representation in media" (only capitalize the first letter of the first word). Then add a short summary, like "moving to mainspace" (always summarize your edits - it's easier to look over them when browsing the page history).
I think later we can specify the title, if you want to focus on a particular minority group. But we have time for that; the article is still developing.
I made a very small edit to the first paragraph - it's introductory material, and should be part of the lead. I'll try to make a few edits later, but I have a class to attend (I'm in college as well, a second-semester freshman :).
It's great seeing the progress we're getting here - keep up the good work, guys! — La Pianista  15:41, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, could someone get in touch with Phil? No urgent matter, but I just haven't heard from him. — La Pianista  15:43, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi everyone. I've made a few in-article comments, so please have a look at them when you can. I'm not quite finished with it yet, though, so make sure to keep an eye on it.
I take it everyone has that page watched, yes? If not, go to our project article and click on the star tab near the top of the page. Then, whenever you click on "My watchlist," any recent changes to the article will show up live. — La Pianista  12:45, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
