Section headings[edit]

As I said at BLPN, per WP:SECTIONHEADINGOWN, section headings are not considered part of your signed comment. You should always make sure any comments you make are self contained in the signed comment part and don't rely on details in the section headings which may be edited for a variety of reasons, and also are often ignored by readers. Section headings are only supposed to summarise the discussion so people browsing have an idea what it's about before reading it, they aren't supposed to be the sole source if important details for the discussion. While signed comments can be edited as well, there are increased requirements and greater limitations precisely because these are signed comments. Nil Einne (talk) 13:50, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
