Warning[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Kansas Bear (talk) 16:38, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:BIO[edit]

Since you can not or will not read MOS:BIO, here is the relevant part;

  • "The opening paragraph should usually provide context for the activities that made the person notable. In most modern-day cases, this will be the country, region, or territory, where the person is a citizen, national, or permanent resident; or, if the person is notable mainly for past events, where the person was a citizen, national, or permanent resident when the person became notable."
  • "Ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead unless it is relevant to the subject's notability. Similarly, previous nationalities or the place of birth should not be mentioned in the lead unless relevant to the subject's notability."

Therefore, Ali-Shir Nava'i notability was not for being Turkic(which is a generalized term and completely useless), but for being a poet, writer, politician, linguist, Hanafi Maturidi mystic and painter, and the greatest representative of Chagatai literature. --Kansas Bear (talk) 16:30, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, thank you for the explanation, English was not my native language, sorry for that, but why are the reasons you put forward valid for someone whose ethnicity is clear, but not valid for other personalities' biographies? 85.102.112.8 (talk) 16:44, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea what you are talking about. Where I find an ethnicity in the lead of an article I move it and any references to the body of the article.
Why do you ignore edit warring warnings, make accusations against other editors, and continue to add Turkic to the lead of an article when that term is extremely generalized and clearly does not reflect anything about Ali-Shir Nava'i? --Kansas Bear (talk) 16:54, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"I have no idea what you are talking about." I say! Why don't you show your "principle" of not adding ethnicity first to the intro of Ali Shir Navai article for other Wikipedia articles? What you're doing is ridiculous, revisionist, stop it. 85.102.112.8 (talk) 08:59, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I say! You could start a discussion on the article talk page instead of edit-warring, but clearly that is too difficult for you to understand. Better yet, go complain to an admin about the rules governing MOS:BIO, and see where you end up!

I have. Your inability to comprehend is not my problem. --Kansas Bear (talk) 12:53, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not a wikipedia editor, I'm just fixing the error I saw, dot... 85.102.112.8 (talk) 12:56, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
