Welcome to Wikipedia. But respectfully, you're mistaken about a few things. Claiming the film can't be a response to the Lewinsky scandal is like saying The Crucible can't be an allegory for McCarthyism because there's nothing about communism in it, it's not set in the 1950s, or there were no witches brought before US Congress in the 1950s. But The Crucible is the most notable allegory for McCarthyism. Anyone old enough to remember the Clinton years (I am) will instantly tell the similarities between the discourse then and the issues that are in the film; Bridges referred to the response as "unveiled". Second, there are plenty of sources about the Oldman controversy; the controversy is what's documented and it was a big deal at the time.
