May 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Plandu. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Hippocratic Oath— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Plandu (talk) 20:25, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

On the note of your edits to Hippocratic Oath, I'd like to note that you seem to have ignored my edit-summary comments. Please see the talk page of the original article as to why that translation is dubious. We aren't editing the original Greek, and aren't "editorializing" it. It's a matter of WP:NPOV and WP:VERIFY. Thanks, MapleSyrupRain (talk) 15:20, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

These are quoted sources verbatim and they aren't subject to WP:NPOV. Either source the translation fully or not at all, but you cannot edit sources. This translation is widely sourced and accepted by the academic community. See https://www.loebclassics.com/view/hippocrates_cos-oath/1923/pb_LCL147.299.xml STOP EDITORIALIZING
