Categories[edit]

Please read WP:BLPCAT. October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jackfork. Your recent edit to the page John Wayne Gacy appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jackfork (talk) 00:53, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
You need to read the death certificate again. The underlying cause of death is on line 18, part (I) c.: LETHAL INJECTION. - Nunh-huh 01:04, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Out to Lunch[edit]

Thanks for your explanation on Out to Lunch. I did look at Along Comes Mary before reverting and there is no mention of 'Out to lunch'. Typically, articles are not added to disambiguation pages unless the term is mentioned at the linked article. You may want to mention 'Out to lunch' on Along Comes Mary to prevent someone else from making the same edit that I did. Leschnei (talk) 13:18, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bruce Dalrymple[edit]

Nope. From that section you linked - “If a person is known by a nickname used in lieu of or in addition to a given name, and it is not a common hypocorism[d] of one of their names, or a professional alias, it is usually presented between double quotation marks following the last given name or initial; the quotation marks are not put in lead-section boldface. Example:

Bunny Berigan has: Roland Bernard "Bunny" Berigan.”

“Bruce” is not a common hypocornism of “Henry Van.” It was correct when I wrote it. Rikster2 (talk) 20:58, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you have a Wikipedia account (and I think you do) you should sign in to edit. Rikster2 (talk) 20:59, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia vs. personal life[edit]

I responded to your comment on my talk page. After some reconsideration, I restored a reference to tennis playing in the section you had added to the Billy Knight article.—Myasuda (talk) 21:17, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

November 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm JimVC3. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Cross Road Blues, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Regarding this, see WP:BLP. The material should be sourced. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 02:23, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Beane (surname)[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Beane (surname) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:18, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ledell Lee[edit]

Sorry I accidently pressed "enter" while typing my edit summary, but while Catholics are the main ones who believe in the real presence of God in the Eucharis, the term Holy Communion is used by most Christian denominations. No where does it say that Lee converted specifically to Catholicism, and this citation, while not the best, says that Lee's denomination at his execution was unknown. PLease see WP:CAT/R when adding religion categories to biographies. Inter&anthro (talk) 23:19, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
