You seem to be in a edit war with 75.33.124.73. I don't know what the story is and enough about the topic to contribute but is there something that can be done to resolve the issue? Is this IP editor ignoring requests to take the issue to discussion?--NrDg 02:16, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA

Although I opposed (and apparently caused a few others to oppose), I am sorry about your unsuccessful request for adminship. I was frank when I said that I don't think you are ready yet, and I hope that you don't think badly of me for that. Please don't be discouraged and try to address the concerns raised by the opposing users henceforth. If you do then there's no reason for your future RFA not be successful. Feel free to contact me should you have any question, comment or disagreement. I'll be happy to be of assistance. Best regards, Húsönd 02:24, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

I was waiting for someone else to say it, for I didn't really know how to express it right. I think the same--I would be delighted to be able to support. A continuing consistent --and careful--record is what will do it. DGG (talk) 19:41, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

AFD sanity check plz?

Hey there. Could you take a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pro-Gravity Records when you get a moment? I'm usually pretty good with marginal musicians and associated articles, but there's a few SPAs popping up challenging the non-notable suggestions. I'd like to have another AFD-experienced editor with musical knowledge taking a peek, if you don't mind. Thanks! Tony Fox (arf!) 20:56, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Corrected AFD nomination

It looks like you and I were simultaneously working on correcting the malformed AFD entry for Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Survivors of the September 11, 2001 attacks (2nd nomination). AfD on Juan... The Halifax Disaster

Hi,

You recently closed this article's AfD discussion, for the following reason:

"The result was Redirected to Hurricane Juan by someone else, no need to keep discussion open. Non-admin closure."

However, this article hasn't been redirected. Are you suggesting that this should occur? Oli Filth 21:26, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Dang, man. You nominated it for deletion 3 minutes after I created it. You should've given me more time to fix it, but the damage's done. We'll see what the community thinks. Also, you know better than to template someone who's used it a million times. It's rather rude telling me to sign my posts after I've made almost 2000 user talk page edits, which clearly means that I'm perfectly capable of signing everything I write. --Boricuaeddie 21:58, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Online (Brad Paisley song)

Regarding your revert and edit summary, I understand your concern. What do you think of http://music.aol.com/video/online/brad-paisley/1933391? It's not likely to change (as far as I know), but do you think that the 30 second commercial is an objectionable amount of advertising (links normally to be avoided #5)? WODUP 02:11, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Regarding a link to his AOL video from Online (Brad Paisley song) - AOL Video's usually frowned upon here too, as is YouTube. Ten Pound Hammer(Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsReview?) 02:18, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I understand why YouTube is frowned upon, it's user-contributed and sometimes contains copyright violations. I don't think AOL video is user-contributed, and I do think that there is an agreement between the artist and AOL to host that music video. A search of aol video in the talk, user talk, Wikipedia, and Wikipedia talk namespaces doesn't show me that AOL video is prohibited. Could you explain your reasons a little more? AfD closure on Wannarexia

As I mentioned on the article's talk page, I believe it was premature (at least for a non-administrator) to close the discussion so quickly with the only "keep" vote coming from the article's author and in an assumption of bad faith. Howdy! On the Anna Svidersky AfD you expressed sentiments to keep the content regarding the notability of the aftermath following her death. I recently created the Mourning sickness article with a section ascribed to Svidersky and the reaction to her death. Closure of AfD for Historical persecution by Christians

Hello. While I agree with you that the article would (and should) probably have been kept, I think the closing was way premature... there was a significant enough number of Delete !votes that this really should have been both a) allowed to run its relisted course and b) looked at by an admin. Furthermore, you yourself !voted on the article (to keep it) - a definite non-no for closing users as far as I know. I appreciate you wanting to take the load off of the administrators and all, but it's my personal opinion that (not just for this article) you're a little too quick with the trigger on the non-admin closings. Those who voted against keeping the article will have valid grounds to feel their opinions were not considered by the proper channels, and to re-list the article for further consideration. Thanks for your time. Zahakiel 16:48, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

I would have to agree. There was not a clear consensus, the arguments for deletion seemed to carry greater weight and the fact that the other articles, Historical Persecution by Jews and Historical Persecution by Muslims, were deleted seems to militate against a premature closing (esp. non-admin). It would seem that if these types of articles are proper they all would stay and if not they all would be deleted. Only a fool would argue that only one of those three groups ever engaged in persecution. I think a review of the closure would be proper.Mamalujo 23:08, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, all that aside, non-admins can only close unambiguous or withdrawn AFDs. See WP:DPR#NAC; this AFD was far from unambiguous, as there were some arguments on both sides that could have been disregarded, plus the reason the AFD was nominated was valid. --Coredesat 23:53, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Historical persecution by Christians. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Mamalujo 06:30, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

David Ball

Bad and hasty example, but Bob Dylan has The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961–1991, decidedly not a seminal album, on the page that is his article. And that one's featured, although one look at the fair use template for the album reveals that it might not have any reason to be there. Regardless, if you can find a better image, or if you consider the article to look better without one, be my guest and remove it. Cromag talk to me 09:40, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi TenPoundHammer, after you placed your RFA nom page on WP:RFA, it has been removed, and then replaced by others. Yes, R&R listed it as "Raisin'" in their chart highlights, but on the chart itself, it's "Raising," at least online. Non-admin AfD closures

Hi,

A few recent DRVs have called into question your ability to understand when a non-admin should close XfD debates. Please do not close any more XfD debates unless: 1) five days have elapsed since the listing and 2) the result is a UNANIMOUS keep. As it is, your controversial closures are creating more work than they are saving, I'm sorry to say. Your next RfA will go much better if you don't have a record of these controversial bad closures. Best wishes, Xoloz 02:23, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

please, for the important reason that you in general very much deserve to be an admin, don't make the non admin closures you do, especially judging WP:SNOW. There are plenty of other people do do so. Xoloz gives you very good advice above. Frankly, I'd advise simply not doing them at all for a good while yet. DGG (talk) 05:46, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi Ten Pound Hammer! I'm writing in regard to your view that the references there were not good enough. I did not creat this entry but been editing it for a while. The paper indeed mentions about him extensively right from the abstract. As mentioned in the article itself his name Inkulab is also spelt Inquilab. The paper is a comentary on HIS work Avvai. I think there had been a misunderstanding on the alternate spellings in English to his name since in Tamil language is pronounced the same as Inquilab or even Ingulab. Hope this makes things clear. uncyclopedia afd

I might have messed things up by trying to fix that afd. I moved the seventh nom page to the ninth, apparently it the user just blanked the seventh AFD discussion. I didn't notice this before I started formatting it correctly. So right now the seventh nomination discussion is missing. -- Diletante 23:53, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Hmm I suppose an admin would have to copy the history over or something. Its no big deal as the noms were probably bad faith and there were only a few votes anyway, If I had been paying more attention I would have just reverted the blanking and removed the template from the article. Oh well, no big deal. -- Diletante 00:00, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Your user page, etc...

Hi there!

First and foremost, let me tell you how much I enjoy reading your edits. I'm a huge fan of retailing and a lot of the information you have looked up and found is invaluable.

I noticed you created a sub page on your userpage for Service Merchandise locations. I really enjoyed reading some of the locations.

My question to you is...If I want to create a sub page from my userpage (which I admit is sparse and I'd like to spruce up) do I simply create a new wiki page named User:PanzaM22/name of sub page here

Or do you do it some other way? I never noticed any other users with a sub page until yours.

Thanks so much for the insight, tips, whatever you can provide. Feel free to leave comments or insight on my talk page.

Tagging of Onivox

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Onivox. I do not think that Onivox fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because I couldn't find Onivox at the portuguese wiki. Hi TenPoundHammer. I was wondering if I can get your advice on something (since I'm still new at this, and since from your AfD's you seem pretty reasonable). There's a user that's been confusing the heck out of me. Not in a dispute resolution sense, but in a "Would I be feeding the trolls"-if-I-reply way. See this discussion. That, and he has some really odd contributions. I was wondering if I should just ignore it, or...? Thanks, --Bfigura (talk) 05:30, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

That's what I was thinking (the AIV bit), but after his looking at his contribs, I got confused since he seems to have so many legitimate seeming edits. (Oddly, almost all redirect-y, but I guess everyone has their passion). But I suppose I should just ignore for now unless it gets really out of hand. Thanks. --Bfigura (talk) 14:47, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Crickfacts

Hi, just wanted to let you know I removed your db-bio tag on Crickfacts as it has been in and out of speedy deletion since yesterday and now has a regular deletion tag on it so that the people who want the article can properly fight for it (as they already have been) If you feel I was in error, please 'talk' me back. Dragon Ball Z

Dragon Ball Z (film) has been updated with the history of this project since your last recommendation using sources like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Would you consider this content worth merging to Dragon Ball Z in a Live-action film adaptation section? —Erik (talkcontrib) - 23:26, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
