  • You do not hunt or shoot birds, you "fowl" - Const. ch 2 art 67
  • There are no churches in Vermont, but "religious societies" - ch 2 art. 68
  • The state can be referred to as a "commonwealth" despite the fact that no one does so. - Ch 2 art 1
  • Within the constitution itself, there is no provision whatever for villages, but they did consider "borroughs" (sic) - Ch 2, art 6. Apparently the legislature enacted the law about villages contrary to the constitution.
  • The militia does not merely report to the governor, the governor is "Captain-General" - Ch 2, art 20 (and others)

  • "Farm" is a noun. You do not "farm" (verb), you "conduct agricultural activities" (5751)
