Welcome to wikipedia.I can understand that you just saw the movie 7am arivu. A.R.Murugadoss is no historian. He is not even a good director.The movie claims that the bodhidharma was a pallava prince and a kalari martial artist. Now thats like saying Napoleon led the British army!! The early pallavas were actually telugus,not tamils. Kalari was indeed a tamil martial arts, but it isn't even slightly relevant to the Pallavas. It was a martial arts founded by the tamil cheras. NO ONE knows for sure that he was a tamil.And no one knows for sure that he was a skilled kalari martial artist!! Some even say that bodhidharma was a mythical character.
