I am an aviation buff with dual bachelor degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering, Masters in Materials Engineering and PhD in Neuropsychopharmocology (all from the University of Florida in Gainesville). I am also a Professional Engineer (P.E.), licensed in multiple states. Also a pilot of many general aviation aircraft and owner, operator and pilot of a Cessna Citation Ultra. Flight experience includes:

Piston Aircraft - Beechcraft A36 Bonanza, B58 Baron; Cessna 150, 172, 182RG, 210, 310, 400 (Columbia), 414, 421; Piper Cherokee, Cub Turboprop Aircraft - Beechcraft KingAir B90, C90, B200, 350 Jet - Beechcraft Premier I, Ia, Beechjet; Cessna Citation I (501), Citation CJ2 (525A), Citation II (550), Citation V Ultra (560); Hawker 400, 800

I love discussing aircraft, design, powerplants and flying in general. I have flight and engineering data for all of the Citations listed above and the KingAir 200. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with those who wish to listen.

I'm working on my understanding of adding to and editing content on wikipedia. Any suggestions are always appreciated. I hope I can be a valuable member to the Aviation Portal.

Programming is one of my favorite ways to spend time, a close second to flying. I am proficient in many languages (I don't know if I'd say "proficient" ...that may be pushing it). I guess I'd say C, C++ and Objective-C(++) is where I have expertise. I fiddle fart around with the rest (e.g. Python, Ruby, Haskell, FORTRAN, HTML, PHP, Shell Scripting, etc.) I enjoy x86_64, ARM and some custom assembly also. I am a member of the Wikimedia Development Team as well as the Linux Kernel network stack, OpenSWAN (IPSEC), netfilter and Apache HTTP teams.
