The First battle of the State (5 – 10 June 2004) was the first battle in the Revolutionary war that the new nation of the Hidden State of America founded themselves to be a small village, but their presence grew and other smaller states saw them declaring independence and taking land for themselves, this resulted in the first battle of the state, which happened over a 5 day period in the confines of the newly-formed state of the republic.

Background[edit]

Prior gaining their independence, formed a small provincial government by 1 man, Charles the III. He had set out to seek independence from other states and start his own peaceful country. After about a month of declaring and annexing a small section of land they had been living in a unrecognized settlement. They made their presence known and other repressed states saw this. They threatened to intervene and invade the small country but that lead to Charles the III thinking that this was a joke, not until a few days prior to the battle they had started an artillery attack along with guerrilla tactics of 'Run n' Gun'. Charles the III thought this was enough and he was not going to let anyone push his state around. He had issued an edict of war on the 1st of June and a massive industrialization had broken out, making weapons and using all the resources they had to prepare defenses.

Planning[edit]

When the Edict of war was issued, heavy planning went into place, the country was situated on all sides from hills, except to the north, but on the north, and east side it was protected by a creek. Charles the III used all his tactics and even sent out patrols in the day and night to run over plans of what to do in case of attack.

Initial assault[edit]

In the early morning of the 5th of June, an artillery attack had begun as normal, but this time multiple conscripts of the 3rd and 2nd street of Westmoreland state had shown up, shouting propaganda at the Republicans. But what they didn't know that the Republic had recruited a few 2nd street conscripts because they liked his ideals. The attack was 2 pronged. The bulk of the forces headed up to defend the rock depot and take the fight to the high ground which is what the conscripts where using as ammo for an artillery, the conscripts routed back when they saw the charge, they made their defensive in the rock depot. And the second half of the troops went through the north and came back around to the conscripts at the rock depot. On the first day the Republic was victorious, the enemy had routed back. This would continue up until the final days of the battle. On the 10th of June the final attack was issued, Charles the III, utterly bitter but knew victory was coming, fought tooth and nail and drove off the Conscripts, but was confronted for another day by a commander of the other army for another day of battle, Charles Accepted.

counterattack[edit]

The Republic celebrated that they had been victorious, Charles had to let his men rest and allowed them to lay down their arms and go home to rest, he had done so as well, taking his personal body guard with him. He was one of the 2nd street conscripts and they had gone far away from the battle scene and ventured to the conscripts home, and then back some with being half way back to the Republic, unfortunately, he was spotted by the 2nd and 3rd street conscripts and was ambushed by the 2nd street conscript commander. Charles, beaten and bloody had put up a good fight managed to scare them off, he vowed to get revenge back and went back to the republic the following day, still wounded from the previous day, but the conscripted army did not show up for battle, Charles kept a high guard for the next week, until he withdrew his Total War state. They remained on alert and in Martial law up until next year. Until finally being withdrawn to a normalist state.

Aftermath[edit]

After the battle was won, Charles had gone back and had become an Aristocrat, he disbanded the H.S.O.A. and instead signed the independence bill signing everyone under the territory who was willing to fight in the state of Westmoreland. He called this the Hidden Federation Nationalist State of Westmoreland {HFNSW} but he still used and idealized the name and ideals of the H.S.O.A. Years had past with peace until the peak of the Republic in the Summers of 2006 to 2007 the country was economically booming, a resound currency system and even good trade between the outlaying states. The Infrastructure had been vastly improved since the old government. Shortly after it's peak complications arose in Charles the III's political career, often regarded as the best leader the country had. Complications drew on and the population reduced to nothing. The country dissolved the following year with talks constantly going on still to this day but have yet ceased of redevelopment to the country.
