User:Rigadoun

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I began editing Wikipedia in January 2006 and became an administrator in November 2007. I came to Wikipedia as a longtime reader, but now spend most of my Wikipedia time, much reduced in recent years, to editing.

I particularly enjoy making sure articles on the various language Wikipedias are linked. I began in the days of interwiki links, but am very happy to see the rise of Wikidata. I don't contribute much to other-language Wikipedias, though occasionally I'll suggest a merge or make a comment if I notice something odd. I do sometimes translate articles from these Wikipedias, either because I'm curious about the subject, to practice language skills, or to complete a missing article.

I also work frequently on missing encyclopedia articles lists, especially the dauntingly long music encyclopedia topics lists.

Besides that, I often add new articles that are interesting from books or articles I read. I'm especially interested in geography, history, music, languages, and peoples of the world.
