Richard D. Madding, Jr. came to Mound Laboratory in Miamisburg, OH, on December 30, 1963, from Southern Illinois University as an Operating Chemist to perform final assembly on a Plutonium-238 weapons component. After completing Phase I of this project in 1965, he held many other positions through February, 1981, when he left Mound to start his own video production company. Dick returned to Mound in 1983 as a Q-Cleared contractor, documenting Mound activities, making 135 video programs and archiving over 200 hours of unedited material through 2002. He is currently retired and writing a book on Plutonium-238 at Mound. Listed below are Mr. Madding's technical documents authored while at Mound.
