From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My name is Robert L. Campbell. I am a psychology professor, co-editor of a psychology journal, and associate editor of a multidisciplinary journal. The interests that draw me to Wikipedia include the genetic epistemology of Jean Piaget, other issues in psychology, the life and ideas of Ayn Rand, and the history of jazz, blues, and gospel music.

I am the Associate Editor of the Journal of Ayn Rand Studies. Since I have been involved in editing Wikipedia articles on Ayn Rand, her ideas, and other figures related to Rand, other editors should be aware of this.

As of today, I am ceasing my editing activities at this site.

Having developed some knowledge of Wikipedia and its practices, I find Wikipedia's rules too convoluted and its internal politics too contentious to warrant my continued involvement with it. Wikipedia editing has been a valuable experience for me, as I'm sure it will continue to be for others, but in the end there are other venues in which I am more likely to be able to make a worthwhile contribution. My best to all of those who continue their work on Wikipedia.
