I was born in the United States and lived almost all my life in Canada. I hold dual citizenship.
Professionally, I was a technical writer. My edits are frequently intended to improve readability: break up long paragraphs, correct ambiguities, improve consistency, etc.
My goal is to add to entries on statistics, especially financial statistics, so as to make them accessible to non-mathematicians. I have an MA in Economics with a focus on Econometrics and I have worked documenting risk management software for hedge funds. However, even with this background I find it difficult to accurately summarize statistical methods, so my progress has been slow.
I also augment or correct information whenever I see a problem (with citations, of course!). I have added a few pages for concepts such as the gig economy, and for a few academics.
