The Open and Women Teams events superseded the World Team Olympiad, 1960 to 2004.

Two of the five Youth events continued the WBF under-26 and under-21 national teams championships. One-time under-28 teams, pairs, and individuals championships will be succeeded by pairs and individuals championships using the U26 and U21 categories.[citation needed]

Disaster on the 557th and 558th of 560 boards left Russia two VP short of qualifying for the 2011 Bermuda Bowl (see final standings above). The team had finished 5th/8th
