Hi, I'm Oestereetstertje. I live in Belgium, studied law (long ago) but have always been particularly interested in the history of law. You could even say I'm always interested in "the history of" anything really. That's how I got bitten by the "history of cartography" bug. For over 15 years now I've been delving into this fascinating field, which has common ground with geography, art and history, more specifically the history of discovery of our planet. No Google maps today without my heroes of the past! As I speak or at least understand several languages (not a big deal in Belgium), I always look up lemmas in Wikipedia in different language versions. And I like to compare them and see where they can be improved, if I may be so bold to state this here. Or, if a certain topic I consider important is lacking in some language version, I like to (try to) add it. So you could call me a woman on a mission.
