HELLO READERS, FRIENDS, AND COLLEAGUES! Welcome to Mike Stoyik's user page. "Mike Stoyik" is, of course, a pseudonym. It derives from my childhood in western Canada, when my Grandfather, a Ukrainian immigrant from Austrian Galicia, who loved to read, used to tell me adventure stories about a boy named Mike Stoyik. Many years later, I discovered that Mike Stoyik was none other than Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer.

I have been contributing to the Wikipedia since approximately June, 2005, at first unregistered, then registered as Mike Stoyik. Most of my contributions concern Ukrainian history and Ukrainian historians, although, on occasion, I have made contributions to other fields as well.

Some of the articles which I originated or worked on include:

Mykola Kostomarov, Mykhailo Hrushevsky, Volodymyr Antonovych, Dmytro Doroshenko, Nataliia Polonska-Vasylenko, Oleksander Ohloblyn, Dmytro Yavornytsky, Omeljan Pritsak, Mykhaylo Maksymovych, Ivan Krypiakevych, Jaroslav Rudnyckyj, Robert Klymasz, Ivan Ohienko, Shevchenko Scientific Society, Roxelana, Ilya Repin, Aleksander Bruckner, Michal Czajkowski, Orest Subtelny, Boris Grekov, Galicia (Central Europe), Zalishchyky, Husiatyn, Hetman, Petro Shelest
