From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kashxeedi2 is a retired Alaska journalist who has joined an international effort to increase the number of Black, Indigenous and other People of Color's profiles on Wikipedia, in particular, women leaders. Kashxeedi2 is focusing on Alaskans, especially Tlingits and Haidas, the largest indigenous groups in Southeast Alaska.

Kasheedi is Tlingit for "writer." The editor is not Tlingit, but is using the term as part of a larger effort to increase usage of indigenous languages. "Dictionary of Tlingit[1]" by Keri Edwards is an excellent resource for those wanting to learn more about the language.

Feedback is welcome. The editor is not fast-moving, but will respond.
