Introduction[edit]

My name is Howard Noble, I live and work in Oxford, England. I work of the University of Oxford, researching and managing projects that support the modernisation of learning, research, teaching and adminstration. I am especially interested in how computer gaming technology will transform the notion of scholarship.

I have been using wikipedia for many years, and I am fascinated to observe how the projects are evolving. Using the mental model of the encyclopedia was an insightful move by wikpedians but I think this incredible global resource is destined to become much more than an a copy of the tradational paper-based format.
