Pierre Gustave Borde was a Trinidadian historian and the author of one of the first histories of Trinidad.
Bridget Brereton describes Borde as "the first Trinidad historian to express 'nationalist' sentiments as opposed to British or Empire loyalty" and said he identified as "a Trinidadian rather than a French Creole".[1]: 58–59
