Maine[edit]

Maine has one Girl Scout Council, Girl Scouts of Maine, formed in October 2007 by the merger of Abnaki Girl Scout Council and Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council. It serves over 14,000 girls and has about 4,000 adult volunteers. The first known active troop in Maine was in 1917 in Augusta.
