I am а quantitative ecologist that works on a variety of organisms, including helical algae, fennoscandian wolves and antarctic phocids.

As a graduate student, I was privileged to work seasonally in the northwest Pacific, Kuril Islands, Kamchatka, Sea of Okhotsk and Bering Sea with marine mammals, especially Steller sea lions, northern fur seals and walrus. The region is remote, sparcely populated, and relatively unknown outside itself, and it has been enjoyable to contribute to subjects related to it.

Some of my photographs can be found here.
