What am I supposed to write on my talk page? Is it completely up to me? Am I violating some guideline? If so, I will fix it at some point when I have a better idea of what is expected of me. In the meanwhile, I am being told this talk page does not exist, and that it should be created by me, and to do so, I should type in this box, as I am doing. Then I'm supposed to preview it and check for errors, but I don't think that's really necessary. Even if there are errors, I'd be surprised if anyone cared. It would be worth making errors just to find out that someone did care about the accuracy of my talk page. Hmmm, I wonder what would happen if I tried to use every one of those buttons above this text box. I haven't a clue what they do. Some of them, sure. Bold, I understand that. Italics, this, too, is quite familiar. Oh, man, fooled, I thought this was just straight up underline, but, no, it's "link title," I guess that means the link is coming up...how will this work, I wonder? Let's find out--if I hit the link button after this sentence, will the "Oh, man, fooled..." text still link to the URL I type in? No, the link button wants its own title, how odd! I mean, yeah, it makes sense for the link button, but the "link title" button is still a bit of an enigma. It really does seem just like straight-up underlining to me. We'll have to see, when I save this. Okay, next button:

Let's keep a moving... hmmm, okay, Media:Example.ogg, geez, where are these files supposed to come from? Do I upload them to the vast wikiness, or link to a URL somewhere else? I'll have to figure this out someday, if I determine it matters. $INT(170^{0}.5)$ that's my shot-in-the-dark at a math formula, if it worked, it will round the square root of 170 (presumably down) to the nearest integer value. Which is, um, 13, right? Well, I think I solved it, even if the vast wikiness cannot. Man, there are still a whole lot of buttons to go. I guess I didn't realize what I was getting into. Non-formatted text? Huh? Isn't this text non-formatted, too? Maybe I'm supposed to use that button in conjunction with formatting buttons. For instance: This text is bold and this text is bold but is this text bold even though this text is bold? Alright, bitten off more than I can chew right now (rough night last night), revised plan: I will try out the first half of the buttons. Maybe I'll try the second half later. Maybe not. Who cares? That's the point, right? Alright, I have one whole button to go and I just figured out that the damn buttons do that tell-you-what-I-do thing when you hold the mouse over them. I tell you, I had a rough night last night. And I was using Photoshop a lot yesterday, which I noticed to my frustration doesn't do that (unless you can toggle it on/off, dunno, I don't really know anything about Photoshop. I'm pretty good with raster editing, but vectors in Photoshop don't make sense to me at all, I draw a line with the pen and it just disappears, I figured I just needed to assign it a stroke but that didn't seem to work and it's too annoying to try to figure out if I can help it which so far I've done successfully). Okay, so the tell-you-what-I-do function (I know it has a correct name but I don't remember what) kind of takes the suspense out of my grand button experiment, but as it would turn out, I can now anticipate the outcome of button #11, and it's a very appropriate final button indeed, and I can treat it thusly (not a word but should be), and thusly I will: --Duckducksquid (talk) 22:19, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
