I am a graduate student at Indiana University in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, pursuing a Masters of Public Affairs and a Masters of Science in Environmental Science. My concentrations are in Environmental and Natural Resource Policy, Policy Analysis, and a specialized concentration in energy & air pollution.

I graduated from Iowa State University with a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies along with a minor in Sociology. I also earned a BS in Economics from the same institution. My preferred subject is interdisciplinary sociology, in particular interest are Environmental Sociology and Political Sociology (and Economic Sociology to a lesser extent).

My research, both academic and for non-governmental groups, includes a comparative analysis of state climate change policies, an analysis of potential renewable energy and energy conservation policies for the state of Iowa, international climate change policy, and the economics of carbon capture and storage. Currently, I am assessing the environmental impacts and economic viability of oil shale development under varying regulatory frameworks. These projects have augmented my dedication to becoming an environmental policy analyst and formulator.

I have a background in environmental advocacy (lobbying, press conferences/releases, etc.), working on clean energy and global warming campaigns. These are my primary issues of research and knowledge. Additionally, I have notable experience in grassroots organizing and campaign work.

Thus far, my primary contribution to Wikipedia has been creating the content in Environmental Sociology after the introduction.
