BV100 Nuclear Battery[edit]

A coin battery with similar dimensions to the BV100

The BV100 was created by Betavolt, it is a battery powered by Nickel-63 sandwiched between 10 μm (micron) thick radioactive diamond superconductors.[1][2] It is 15mm x 15mm x 5mm. Betavolt estimates that the price will be around $500 for the battery.[3] It is the first commercially available nuclear battery. Betavolt claims the battery can reach 3 volts.[2]
