Clint Corey World Champion Bareback Rider

Known as much for his positive attitude as for his accomplishments, Clint Corey has produced one of the most consistently high-level careers in the history of Rodeo. He holds two world bareback riding titles in two competing associations. The first in the IPRA International Pro Rodeo Association and the PRCA Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Clint began his career in 1981 in the IRA now the IPRA where he won the IFR Average Title in 1981 and World Title in 1982 at the International Finals Rodeo. In 1984 he moved over the PRCA and had his first qualification to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, WNFR, in Las Vegas in 1985 and holds the second highest number of qualifications to the WNFR of 18 total including 17 straight from 1985-2001. Clint won the 1991 WNFR world bareback title and captured the NFR Average Title in 2001 at the age of 40. Clint was on the winning team at the Salt Lake City Olympics which he holds a 2002 gold medal along with his teammates. Before retiring at the age of 42 his career consisted of his dominance in the world standings, winning the Columbia River Circuit year-end title 12 consecutive times between 1989-2000 along with 3 Dodge National Circuit Final Titles (1989,1991 and 1997) making him one of only a few rough stock cowboys to claim three titles in the PRCA. Clint was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2004 along with 5 other hall of fames throughout the United States. Clint has always been passionate about Rodeo because he’s doing what he loves to do and now giving back his time and experience to up and coming athletes to help them reach their goals and dreams is his new passion.

Clint Corey was a champion in and out of the rodeo arena carrying style, class and integrity in to all aspects of his career following his retirement from rodeo in 2004. He began coaching, teaching and judging up and coming athletes.

Clint competed in PRCA rodeos throughout the United States and Canada. He consistently entered over 75-100 rodeos and traveled over 100,000 miles each year and competed through 3 millenniums 1980-1990 and 2000's. He was the most winningest bareback riding contestant in the history of Rodeo including to become the 8th cowboy in the history of rodeo to win $1,000,000 by 1995.
