Carol Van Strum (nee Scott) was born on Friday 13th December 1940 in Port Chester, New York, USA. Her mother Helen Caroline Campbell married her father G. Norman Scott on Friday 13th November 1936. Carol Van Strum, one of five daughters, is an American environmental activist, author, editor, researcher and book reviewer.
